to laugh about my children's zoo trauma?

Were at the zoo today (non-pupil day here in Suffolk and lovely weather) and ended up walking past the zebra enclosure to find the zebras seriously at it. They watched in horror all the way to the end and ever since I have heard nothing but 1)grossed out comments about zebra sex, 2) questions about whether other animals do it in the same way (including whales Confused) and 3) the stated intention never, ever to have sex.

I am being unreasonable to find it all utterly hilarious, aren't I?

There was some Guinea pigs at it at the pet store the other day. And at a zoo in France there was a masterbating monkey, we ushered DD along...only for her to point out the 'cuddling monkeys'. Grin

Must be something about Banham Zoo - I've got photos Blush of the tigers there doing it. Luckily DS was too young to notice such things ...

MyCar well, we were listening to the penguin feed and the person doing the talk said they had bred 60 penguin chicks there in the last 20 years, so something in the water perhaps?Grin

My favourite answer ever to "what are those two dogs doing ?" was "the little one is sick and the big one is pushing it to hospital Grin

Saw some giant tortoises at it once. When we came back past at least 30 mins later they were still mounted and grunting loudly, seriously sounded like a lion from a distance.

On a school trip to Spain a monkey (not in zoo, just random tree monkey) stole my bag of Haribo, wanked into it furiously then chased after me to HAND IT BACK when he was done. Without doubt the most horrendous moment of my school career and whenever I bump into people I was at school with its the first thing they bloody bring up, almost twenty years later! I hate that monkey Sad

My DDs first introduction to animals DTD was in the car park at Tesco in Bangkok.
She asked me why the dog at the bottom was smiling. I said she was enjoying giving the top dog a piggy back.

I remember a trip to Colchester Zoo quite a few years ago with DD and her friends where they Pygmy Hippos were at it. Most disconcerting, especially having to answer a group of 4yo's questions about what he was doing with his tail...

Too that clip is hysterical! The baleful look of the female just creases me up! Grin
Years ago now, I let the DCs witness horse sex at our yard. They were intrigued. In the car on the way home, DS asked me if grownups 'did' sex like that?
My answer was "Yes, but mummy isnt usually tied to the fence"!! Grin
It still makes me smile now!

Saggy you do realise your DCs are going to be left with serious traumas about penis size in the average human male?

I remember going on a pre-school trip to a local zoo

There were 20 3 - 5 year olds and we round a corner to be confronted by giant tortoises at it. They were going like the clappers and were so loud

After reading out loud about the monkey masturbating at Colchester Zoo, DP pipes up "Did I ever tell you about the photo I got of the monkey giving another a blowjob?"

Only in Essex ey? Wink

This reminds me to drag DP to Colchester Zoo next time we visit parents!

They're STILL at it? The zebras at Banham were at it last week. Lots of comments about piggybacks (thanks to one quick thinking parent nearby).

Whales have sex by swimming belly to belly, as I recall from a nature programme. The whale's penis also contains a bone which makes a good sled runner if you're an eskimo.

Foals soon, elfycat?
The piggyback thing would not have worked, my lot knew exactly what the zebras were about...

endoftheday I'm going to pass your snippet on to my DDs Grin.

I remember at monkey world there was a grinning chimp furiously masturbating up against the perspex viewing window. DC (3) was fascinated.

The giant tortoises bumping shells was also rather amusing. 'Mummy, that tortoise is having a piggyback'. The show grunting told us otherwise. Wink
