Toilet roll needs to be white. Coloured loo roll is the work of the devil.

Only white here and it has to put on the right way....or else! My MIL has toilet roll patterned with bright flowers and stars and shells adorning her loo. God knows where she gets it? I may have to stop using her facility until she stops buying it

My in-laws have several loos in their house and all of them have different patterned loo roll, some of which is scented.

Nice for a change (except the scented stuff - puke).

Luckily DH and I agree on white only.

DP was given novelty toilet paper one christmas by his mother. It had crosswords on it. Never again. He spends long enough in the toilet. To be discouraged at all costs.

YANBU at all. DH bought some coloured stuff recently (he's colour blind, quite why I trusted him I don't know) and I used far more than was necessary for each wipe just to finish the stuff off so that we could return to white.

I also get quite twitchy when he returns home with patterned kitchen roll.

I have pretty toilet roll with stars and owls and dots and patterns. You can buy it in waitrose of course :) Made by Andrex I think.

When we had a white suite but pink tiles on floor and walls < my choice>, we had pink loo roll.

In Germany some years ago, they had much cheaper recycled paper loo rolls, and DH said we'll use them.
They were hard and a grey colour.

Now I use soft white quilted.

On my packet of White toilet roll from the co-op, it was called "bathroom tissue" or something similarly WTF?

On another note, YABU as really who cares what you wipe your bum with as long as it's soft enough not to scratch, and absorbent enough not to need half a roll each time. I can't buy the patterned paper however; it just seems far too pretty to wipe shit!
