Indeed freddie Stacee Jaxx is in no way Tom Cruise. If he were, then I would bleach my brain and eyeballs, especially after KatyTCL's insightful comments about open-mouthed codpieces with tongues jumping up and down.Eldritch I also used to fancy Boris Becker in the 80s. Have so little to be proud of.

5318008 'tis shoite of the highest order. I know this for sure as I have watched fast forwarded it to TC bits 3 times since Saturday.

Katy - its my excuse and I'm sticking with it! Grin

5318008 - it's no cinematic masterpiece, but I really liked it. I loved the music. I've had worse Sunday nights!

This thread makes me all nostalgic for the days when MN wasn't a bunch of women tearing each other apart...

I'll never be able to look at Tom Cruse again without thinking of omlets, cod pieces and tongues Grin

The movie is awful. All the reviews say that Tom Cruise is the only good thing and that you wait for him to come back in a scene.

It's true.

He's frighteningly good.

Also, I watched Knight and Day today.

Just to figure out what it is with him.

I will probably go see Oblivion.

This is sick. Shock

I for one have not letched so much since Ben Barnes' seminal portrayal of Dorian Grey.

He did nothing for me in the 80s (I had a thing for Paul Nicholas & curly perms) but I saw him in an Austin Powers film, the audience sees Austin Powers in a crash helmet (I think) and you expect it to be Mike Myers but then when he takes the helmet off its Tom Cruise, it had a very strange effect on me. Never thought I'd say that about Tom Cruise especially while wearing purple crushed velvet flares.

Lol the pot noodle of cinema!
Ben Barnes as prince caspian was uber scrummy! also in stardust...
In fact I think I've just inoculated myself against TC :)

Ben Barnes was indeedy a veh nice Prince Caspian.
But now I'm fantasising about TC being Prince Caspian and me being Susan.

I am going to have to secretly download all these shite fillums onto my Kindle so Handsome Swain remains unaware. He already shakes his head sadly when I salivate over Miguel Bose. (fat, 50, bald and on the other bus.)

Grin

Must admit, BB has a certain something about him now I think. Post broom cupboard and all. But not in the 80s.

Do you think we are a new quiche? The last male inspired quiche I joined on here was Oscar Pistorius. That ended well.

I think we are a new quiche.

It is very odd. I mean, the only other redhead I even remotely fancy is
Wes Brown (am not anti-redheads, before anyone asks. My mother is one).

I like Kris Marshal. AKA, "Colin! God of Sex!"

My husband just walked in on me fast-forwarding through Rock of Ages to the TC bits. Blush

And, since we're now talking about actors we fancy...

I was talking to my husband last night about the way I feel about Bruce Willis. It's not so much that I lust after him as I just love, love, love him. He is my happy place and just seeing him brings a smile to my face. Contrast that to Daniel Craig: I do not feel happy when I look at him. I feel a sort of painful, anguished longing. Back in the day, I felt that way about George Clooney. I actually never watched ER because it was just too hard to look at him.

I haven't seen Rock of Ages (put off by Russell Brand's presence), but feel like I'm missing out now! May try to pick up a cheap copy in a bit when I go shopping...

Bruce Willis still makes me happy too! Have recently downloaded Moonlighting (at his very bestest) but also adore him in the advert (is it Virgin Media?) where he takes the office girl with him at the end. Soo very, very jealous of that girl...

And Daniel Craig? Craggy face and big ears. Amazing body though - good grief!

Katy- I think that's the way I feel about TC. Top Gun Blush saved my sanity during the longest 6 mths of my life exiled in Brussels in late 1986. Sheer escapism shite. And men in uniforms with spiky black hair.

Rob Lowe has a similar effect (without the fancying at all at all at all) because of About Last Night.

NotTreadingGrapes · 10/04/2013 13:52

Daniel Craig reminds me of Andrew Marr. But in trunks.
