Indeed freddie Stacee Jaxx is in no way Tom Cruise. He did nothing for me in the 80s (I had a thing for Paul Nicholas & curly perms) but I saw him in an Austin Powers film, the audience sees Austin Powers in a crash helmet (I think) and you expect it to be Mike Myers but then when he takes the helmet off its Tom Cruise, it had a very strange effect on me. Never thought I'd say that about Tom Cruise especially while wearing purple crushed velvet flares.

I was talking to my husband last night about the way I feel about Bruce Willis. It's not so much that I lust after him as I just love, love, love him. He is my happy place and just seeing him brings a smile to my face. Contrast that to Daniel Craig: I do not feel happy when I look at him. I feel a sort of painful, anguished longing. Back in the day, I felt that way about George Clooney. I actually never watched ER because it was just too hard to look at him.

Katy- I think that's the way I feel about TC. Top Gun saved my sanity during the longest 6 mths of my life exiled in Brussels in late 1986. Sheer escapism shite. And men in uniforms with spiky black hair.

Rob Lowe has a similar effect (without the fancying at all at all at all) because of About Last Night.
