In London for work...it's snowing (not settling much though...) not heavily or anything but flakes! Melts as soon as it hits the ground...in North East London btw?

Daaaaaaarlings- it's been known to snow in June up north according to my old parents.

So YABU!

thegreylady · 04/04/2013 14:14

No snow here in Shropshire but a biting cold wind .

travellingwilbury · 04/04/2013 14:16

We have had pointless flurries ( stupid bloody word ! ) here all day but now it is getting heavier . In Sussex for goodness sake , I don't live in the sodding cairngorns .

We better get a good summer this year or else I will ....... Do something ......

Buzzardbird · 04/04/2013 14:18

We came over to Wonderland the other day greylady there was a lot of snow there.

Quenelle · 04/04/2013 14:19

It's snowing in Haaaartfordshire.

Didn't it snow in June in 1976, the year of the Great Drought?

A reason to be cheerful then I think.

SerBarristanSelmy · 04/04/2013 14:20

Snowing and freezing in Kent...thinking of emergrating Sad

Latara · 04/04/2013 14:20

I've just switched the lights on so that it looks like the sun is shining indoors :)

BumBiscuits · 04/04/2013 14:21

Beautiful sunshine in NE Scotland.

YABU though, it is only snow, and we are in the UK.

FiteFuaite · 04/04/2013 14:22

Sizzlesthedog · 04/04/2013 14:23

Yes according to the local post office man, (font of all knowledge),
1976 started with a long cold winter.

travellingwilbury · 04/04/2013 14:25

And I am having to buy logs again , it is just not right .

I dont want any more snow :(

Startail · 04/04/2013 14:26

It's unspeakably cold in the south midlands, I wouldn't mind if the DDs had had snow to play in, but we haven't it's just bitterly cold.

The trees and daffodils started to flower two weeks ago and are still hovering half open looking cold and confused.

Buzzardbird · 04/04/2013 14:38

My Daffs are still under the snow :( It did indeed snow on my birthday in June

BiscuitMillionaire · 04/04/2013 14:39

Sometimes it snows in April
Sometimes it feels so bad
Sometimes I wish that life was never-ending
But all good things they say never last
And love is not love until it's past.

HollyBerryBush · 04/04/2013 14:41

been snowing all day in Kent, not settling though

piprabbit · 04/04/2013 14:43

It's settling in my bit of Essex.
Just starting to wonder whether to go to the DCs swimming lessons tonight, and whether to pick DD up from her DGM's after her sleepover.

BubblePopper · 04/04/2013 14:46

It's allowed just because Prince said it happens (sometimes)

Would've linked to the actual Prince version but copyright etc means I couldn't-this guy's cute though and his version isn't the most horrendous ever

BubblePopper · 04/04/2013 14:46

Great minds Biscuit

MrsTomHardy · 04/04/2013 14:47

Snowing heavily here all day Sad
(West Sussex)

lougle · 04/04/2013 14:50

I have 4, 3 week old chicks, living in a plastic box. They are waiting for it to warm up so they can see what the world looks like Sad. I didn't expect them to be able to live outside for another few weeks yet, but I did expect to be able to give them a 10 minute peck-around by now.

crossparsley · 04/04/2013 15:21

Prince is one thing (was wondering if someone would mention that) but we're really in trouble if Thor, Horus and the rest have been listening to Vanessa Williams. Not least as if the sun does go round the moon at some point we will get vaporised.

thegriffon · 04/04/2013 15:34

I've convinced myself a cold spring means a hot summer, like the crazy, hazy summer of '76

Frettchen · 04/04/2013 15:40

Apparently it snowed within days of my birth (mid April), but that aside YANBU. It should be sunny between showers, not snow flurries between arctic winds!

Today's lunchtime dog walk in the snow was not what I'd expected for the day. Dog liked it though. I just stomped around coldly, happy to be back into the office after the walk and making a cup of tea.

Feminine · 04/04/2013 15:46

Pissy, rainy , snowy stuff in Dorset!

Its FREEZING and our oil is about to run out!

Buzzardbird · 04/04/2013 15:49

I really wish it were true that this shite Spring would mean a red hot summer but I am afraid it is more up to the jet stream (which has been a total twat for the past few years) than a pattern of weather.

I hope I am proved completely wrong though...
