...to not reply to texts asking if I've had the baby yet?

I feel harassed. Official due date isn't even until tomorrow. Getting extremely pissed off - don't people realise it is RUDE to keep asking?

Yes, I know you are all going to say it's only because people care. But don't they think if there was any news, we would tell them?

Congratulations! Enjoy your new baby Smile

I just don't get this Pregzilla stuff. People are asking because they are concerned and interested. What's wrong with that.

Bogeyface · 13/04/2013 19:36

Vivienne Its not pregzilla at all, just bloody annoying! If you are in labour your can't reply and if you have had the baby then you will have let everyone know the news. So all texting does is rub in the fact that the poor mother is sitting there waiting for labour to start. It is utterly pointless, doesnt give the texters any news and pisses off the expectant parents!

Its also quite demanding "I am so important that you must tell me NOW if you have had the baby, I refuse to wait until your choose to announce it". Err....fuck off, I will tell you when you are ready!

Bogeyface · 13/04/2013 19:37

That should be "when I am ready!"

Bogeyface · 13/04/2013 19:39

Oh and "concerned" is a stupid reason too. My husbands friend and his wife lost their baby son during his birth. They had to field all of the texts with. Can you imagine how that felt for them? What they wanted was a few days grace with their nearest and dearest, what they got was FB and text messages from all over demanding updates.

Orangerevel · 13/04/2013 21:57

It's worse when you have had the baby (few weeks previously) and someone comes round and says "oh glad I caught you before the big day"! I would ignore the texts and make them wait.
