the poster who has never discovered something seemingly random that they do which is considered judge-worthy or terrible by another poster?

Leaving aside the traditional topics for conflict - breastfeeding not enough/too long, co-sleeping/controlled crying, formula - which people have very strong opinions about, the amount of stuff I've stumbled across where someone (or more enlighteningly, lots of posters) which is considered weird or just plain wrong by other posters is amazing.

Clothes (not babygrows) on babies. Not washing you towels regularly enough or washing them too often. Bottles for babies over 1. Not washing your baby's clothes before they wear them (that was a spectacular bunfight!). Forward-facing pushchairs. Playpens. Pureed weaning. Wearing shoes in someone's house. Owning a toilet brush.

Is there anyone out there who has yet to come across an odd thread that hugely judges something they do?

Of course you dip bread in your soup! What is wrong is using the knife to cut the bread roll up. You tear it, and then use the knife to butter it.

I did like the AIBU about Andrex loo roll though. The consensus seemed to be that it didn't matter if you scrunched or folded but Andrex were BU for asking the question Grin

Oh definitely large enough to dunk, LaQueen in a really tall bowl on a very high table, and I'd have to lean at a funny angle but still I'm sure I could do it

Iteotwawki · 31/03/2013 21:02

I may not have been entirely serious, KS.

For the spreadsheet record:
Towels weekly
Bed linen weekly for most (and daily for DS2 depending on wee accidents)

Pants - hmmmm. When I put on so much weight the elastic is cutting in and I have to order a new pair in a bigger size? Grin

I see the pants thread is going well Grin

KatieScarlett2833 · 31/03/2013 21:08

Sure is Grin

Redbindy · 31/03/2013 21:08

Suggesting reusing toilet paper will draw buckets of disapproval from those MNs who don't consider the environment.

whosiwhatsit · 31/03/2013 21:11

Ahh so I did. I must have been getting confused with my favourite holiday resort.

foxache · 31/03/2013 21:12

I keep forgetting to take the piss on the pants thread, not cut out for this.

catgirl1976 · 31/03/2013 21:15

I fear I may have gone too far.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 31/03/2013 21:16

Watching more than 10 minutes of TV a week or even owning a tv rather than listening to concerts on a wind up radio with your DH

Ooh

KatieScarlett2833 · 31/03/2013 21:17

It's fabulous cat Grin

catgirl1976 · 31/03/2013 21:19

Grin I am both proud and ashamed at the same time

KatieScarlett2833 · 31/03/2013 21:25

It just keeps getting better...

Thurlow · 31/03/2013 21:27

I half want to be annoyed this thread has been derailed, but the pants thread is just too good!

"I've been on MN for far too long and have noticed that what supermarket you shop at secretly indicates what class you belong to and what sort of person you are."

We shop as Asda, Waitrose and Sainsbury's on a regular basis (also Morrisons sometimes, but very rarely Tescos as still pissed off with them about a faulty camera debacle a while back).

What does that make us then? Class-confused?! Supermarket floozies?

BruthasTortoise · 31/03/2013 21:30

That Tesco is the devil. I love Tesco, they're nearly always open, stock everything I could ever need in a weekly shop and they pay my DH a damn good wage plus a decent benefit package.

Also plastic toys.

I am a chav.

catgirl1976 · 31/03/2013 21:31

I do Booths and Lidl.

It def marks me out as Northern I think though Grin

foxache · 31/03/2013 21:31

Both common and aspirational aufiniae

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 31/03/2013 21:34

I just cannot get the Booths love since I bought some frankly rank meatballs from there.

I'm very disappointed as DH's parents always rave about it and I so want to love it but just even hearing the name makes me feel [buenvy] again

littlemissbunny · 31/03/2013 21:34

So which is posher, M&S or waitrose? Or are they level?

I sometimes shop in lidl! What does that make me?

I shop in M&S and Lidl and Asda and morrisons and sainsburys does that make me a supermarket slut [bushock]

catgirl1976 · 31/03/2013 21:35

Oh no :( I love Booths.

The meatballs must have been a plant by an angry Waitrose manager

BruthasTortoise · 31/03/2013 21:35

Lidl is fine I think. Marks you out as wealthy but thrifty. Or is that Aldi?
