to think he shouldn't park his van there

OK so we live on quite an exclusive estate and have a visitor parking area. One of our neighbours who I think is a tradesman insists on parking his huge van in the visitor parking. It really annoys me as he has his own drive and won't use it prob because he parks his caravan there and there isn't any room.

Last week my nanny who usually parks on the visitor parking couldn't park and so had to park on the road.

DH has spoken to him and has got short shrift, but it is in our deeds that he shouldn't park there. Not to mention how untidy the estate looks with a huge horrid van parked in the middle. not to mention the caravan.

I think I may have to speak to the association rep, but AIBU? I don't want to cause trouble as it is a nice estate, but really!

carports are vulgar. fact. as are exclusive estates. is it 'executive housing'? boak.

Pandemoniaa · 26/03/2013 22:37

A vulgar Bulgar then? Quelle horreur!

WeAreSix · 26/03/2013 22:38

Why not have a naice garden party with naice ham sandwiches, invite everyone over and casually mention it?

saves the nanny doing it whilst shagging him in the back of the van

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 22:38

we don't have carports, the houses are quite a way apart and most of us have garages. There are only 4 houses on the estate btw

burn down his caravan, thereby freeing up the drive. he might be so pissed off that he then moves.

kill two birds with one stoneGrin

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 22:41

my BIL is bulgarian which is why I know about the type of music. I don't think he is vulgar, just a bit thoughtless.

I hope it isn't 'executive housing' Madame as you rightly say that is vulgar Grin it's just quite a nice exclusive estate

So where do the genuine visitors park when he has his van there or your employer is taking up the space?

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2013 22:43

why dont you borrow the van and then burn it? problem solved.

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 22:44

Mary No, DH parks his Audi in the garage. I have to park on the drive in my Cheyenne which is a PITA also!

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 22:46

Midnite there are about 8 visitor parking spaces so it's not too much of a problem day to day, just the other day people all had friends round and my nanny had no where to park

gordyslovesheep · 26/03/2013 22:47

and your nanny has to park on the road - no one died

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2013 22:48

what about social death?

it's just a drag is all. DS1 is taking exams for his new school, I work PT in quite a demanding job, DH doesn't help a great deal as he too is very busy and DS2 is potty training!

I'm shocked you dont have a double garage. i think your were diddled there.

LetMeAtTheWine · 26/03/2013 22:51

Is this the same nanny who dares to read wedding magazines? Or is that someone else? If it is the same one, she deserves to have to park on the road...

Bastard. I bet he is the sort of neighbour who would steal your favourite spoon.

:(

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2013 22:53

get DS2 to poo on his drive?

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 22:53

Maryz I really don't want to move house, it's 6 bedrooms and will suit us very well as a growing family, I don't think that is the issue at all. I don't care that he is a tradesman, I think he is a stonemason or something, I just hate that he clutters the place up. I really think I need to talk to him. Or his wife, she is Polish but speaks very good english. And I don't care about social death either, as we never go out!

OP posts:
gordyslovesheep · 26/03/2013 22:54

bet he's the type of rough tradesman you think about on a dull wet afternoon Grin

and yes - no double garage or large drive way ...time to move somewhere better
