It won't do.

Where are all the people I know?

VanitasVanitatum · 26/03/2013 14:14

I am nobody as I am dreadfully new but don't you have something stronger than ratafia darlings?!

TheRealFellatio · 26/03/2013 14:16

Oh ok, just seen the explanation up thread. Don't worry. Ignore me.

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2013 14:18

you newbies are well demanding!

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 14:19

Fell the whole thread went. I got a bit defensive which is a mistake on AIBU and then proceeded to get ripped to shreads for complaining that the bank had gone back on an offer to do us an equity release after we had spent money on planning etc. Basically the size of my mortgage, the value of our home, our salary and our location did NOT go in my favour. I'm sure you understand what with living in the morally bankrupt middle east yourself Wink and no doubt earing a huge tax free salary all at the expense of the British taxpayer

Hullygully · 26/03/2013 14:20

Bankrupt in Jersey?

Did you ever meet Gerry Durrell?

OP posts:
VanitasVanitatum · 26/03/2013 14:21

Sorry madame Blush

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 14:21

and Hully since you didn't bother to turn up on my conclave thread after I had name checked you, I'm not sure I should be even talking to you

Hullygully · 26/03/2013 14:22

Did you say "I am terribly rich but I need more?" That never goes down well.

OP posts:
Hullygully · 26/03/2013 14:22

conclave thread? were there cardinals and smoke?

OP posts:
TantrumsAndBalloons · 26/03/2013 14:24

whats wrong with Jersey?

magimedi · 26/03/2013 14:24

Newbie here who would prefer gin to ratafia.

Claim to fame is I have met Gerry & his first wife, Jacqueline, but was a child at the time.

I well remember the zoo opening & going in its first week. It was v.v. exciting.

Hullygully · 26/03/2013 14:25

Oh magi I am so jel. Gerry is my hero.

OP posts:
FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 14:25

I usually called him Gezza and yes we were on nodding terms if I caught him near the marmosets.

And Madame was that FCJ or Hellvetia? I can't think of any houses attached to a Martello tower, how exciting. Where did you live?

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2013 14:25

oh go on, Van. have some of Fiderer's homebrew...tis miraculous!

magimedi · 26/03/2013 14:25

whats wrong with Jersey?

If you live/have lived or were born there you are automatically a rich entitled fucker according to many.

(I was born there & am neither rich nor entitled. I can be a fucker from time to time.)

magimedi · 26/03/2013 14:26

Madame, was the house attached to a martello on the East Coast & did it begin with the letter 'K'??

Hullygully · 26/03/2013 14:27

You did not call him Gezza you big liar.

OP posts:
FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 14:28

Hully that was how it was interpreted I think Grin I shoulda thunked it out a bit more, but I was cross and weary. The odd Jim Bowen lookalike on the conclave thread but no actual popes or cardinals

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 14:30

tis troo I lied, I have been to the zoo though, or Durrell as we now like to call it........

TheRealFellatio · 26/03/2013 14:33

oh god yes, Funnys, everything's my fault. I'm used to it. Grin

EostreChaoticResurrEggtion · 26/03/2013 14:33

Newbie here who would prefer gin to ratafia.

I prefer southern comfort to gin, never had ratafia.

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2013 14:34

FCJ! yes! it was in the road from St Helier To whatsisname...right on the beach. we were only there for a year or so but when you are seven its a lifetime! another family lived in the actual tower bit. shit. yes I think it was K

FunnysInLaJardin · 26/03/2013 14:35

see Fell I hadn't realised and had been blithely going about my MN business. I feel such a naive fuel

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2013 14:36
