There is history but...

First she talked about golliw*gs loudly.

Then she started on about how Savilles victims were 'precocious 15 year olds who knew what they were doing'.

I didn't punch her but at that point I left.

I hope we don't share may genes.

Sorry, genuine question, why are Golliwogs offensive? What makes them offensive? I can go to toys r us and the doll isle has loads of dolls representing all different ethnic groups. So why are Golliwog dolls so different? Is it because they don't look like dolls as such?

Oh talking about funerals... No not cunts cusdardo.

I remember going to one a while back. An Irish one that had an open cascet.

A fella rocked up and said to my friend (the daughter of the passed)

"She was a fine woman but be-jesus she makes a gorgeous corpse"

Grin

I THINK they're more offensive (than eg Upsy Daisy) because they were always the real "baddies" in the stories. If you ever read Noddy books that feature Golliwogs. Also they look more like they are "blacked up" with shoe-polish (i.e the Black And White Minstrel Show characatures) rather than like real people.

Casket even!
