I'm not sure if I'm being slightly odd
I like our neighbours, our Dd's are the same age but not in school yet.

Kids get on, we enjoy a good chat over fence but I think I'm holding back a bit in making a good friendship.

Would you make a good friendship with your neighbour?

moved house < a year ago. Neighbours on one side I am on nodding terms with, they take parcels in if needed, and say hello if we see each other. Invited them to our housewarming party but they were away for the weekend.

other side, I know the mum a little as we were at toddler groups together years ago. Have struck up a nice relationship, not in and out of each others' pockets, but have keys when each other are away, water plants, be there for each others young teen children if parents are going to be later back from work than usual. I think this will develop into more of a friendship as time goes on.

Yes, good friends on one side (moved in same time as us and have children) and good neighbours with other side and next-door-but one. On nodding/shortchat terms with others nearby. And this is in LondonShock!

We are fortunate in our small cul-de-sac of 16 back-to-back terraces to have a great little community. It's a mixture of privately owned, rented, council and temporary accommodation but we all look out for each other and we actually know everyone in the street. It's not a great area but it is a great street!
