Is quite an obnoxious little brat?
He is bossy and rude.
Gets on my nerves.
My daughter loves it! So here we are watching it again!

Weeping with laughter at the idea of Mike the Knight being Tory propaganda.

I'll have to tell DH. It might even persuade him to stop watching it (with DS obviously).

We have just discovered Ben & Holly, which I am very ambivalent about. But, it is 10mi.s long which means I get to shower in peace.

Antidote: my DH calls it Ben and Lobotomy, such is it's hypnotic effect on ds :)

What the hell is the deal with the Vikings and jam tarts?

They decided that knights are cool so made a knight programme, but violence is bad so they've swapped everything remotely physical for something really weird.

He's an entitled little shit so yes, Tory propaganda is bang on.

Imagine AIBU to give my DS 2 dragons and a horse but only give DD a toad and a bike?

My ex CEO was called Mike. And he was an entitled overpaid little shit. I took great pleasure in showing selected colleagues pictures of Mike the Knight (while singing the tune) and saying "Guess who's the brave new hero?"

He's a knob. Total knob. The only one that comes out of it with any credit is Trolly (doubt that's the right spelling).

Why would the BBC have this programme on- he sets such a bad example: arrogant, ignorant, entitled, spoilt, misogynistic, xenophobic. The latter is particularly strange to me; why represent another race as idiot barbarians- children may think that it's an ok thing to do.

So, as I said before, total knob!

We may possibly be reading too much into this....
However, agree about the Vikings. Extraordinary stereotyping and utterly historically inaccurate!
Why does the Dad NEVER come home?
Maybe he has a whole other family or a princess in a tower somewhere!

I agree about the Vikings. I cannot fathom why anyone thought that was a good idea.

There's a really weird episode where mike steals the Vikings' snowman and snowballs because he assumes they were going to do naughty things with them. And they get really upset because they just wanted to juggle. But mike never gets into trouble at the end (because, presumably, it's perfectly reasonable to assume those foreign types are up to no good - unless they can prove otherwise).
