I'm an optician, think on naming DD Iris. Didn't make the connection until it was pointed out. What would you think of this? I'm a huge workaholic you see

Is it Val/ Valium?
Is it Pen/ Penicillin?

Hint us your vague area of medicine!

My DD has a car for a middle name- this is known by my family and amuses some/ appalls others to varying degrees.

[Grin] this thread has cheered up a dark morning Thankyou!

KindleMum · 06/03/2013 10:39

It's a lovely name. We nearly used it for DD. And if you google it, it has surprising continuity of use and popularity over the last 100 years and in Europe and North America. I wouldn't connect it to you being an optician.
