to give DD a name relating to occupation

I'm an optician, think on naming DD Iris. Didn't make the connection until it was pointed out. What would you think of this? I'm a huge workaholic you see

I work for a well known supermarket - MY DS is called Twatting and DD is Cunts.

DH is a lawyer. DS2 is Will. Blush Blush

It's a lovely name. We nearly used it for DD. And if you google it, it has surprising continuity of use and popularity over the last 100 years and in Europe and North America. I wouldn't connect it to you being an optician.

I love Iris, just makes me think of the flower. Go for it, it's not like you are calling her pupil or membrane or something!

TalkativeJim DH is an archeologist, and our boy name was Douglas Blush never realised that on either!

Thinking about it Glaucoma sounds so much more classy maybe eyelid as a middle name?

I mentioned Poppy in relation to opium poppy as at the time, me and DH both worked with drug users. He said no!!

I'm an optom and iris still makes me think of the flower, it's very pretty.
