To expect better of Waitrose and think this is not on!

I'm shocked and saddened by this. Really shocked. I would expect it from Tesco but not waitrose in a million years.

I bought a 500g bag of pasta the other week and just used it for a recipe. Weighed out 400g and thought no way is there 100g left. There was only 75g left!

I've been done out of 25g of pasta. It's is like the mixed peppers all over again!

I had a packet of 6 sausages from waitrose recently. but it only had 5 in the packet

Write to Which magazine, I'm sure they did a feature on this a few months ago.

A whole missing sausage is really bad.

Dh has decanted the remaking pasta into a jar and the packet is in the bin. So unsure if it has an e or not. But it sounds like it probably does if most packets do.

nice young man in Asda ,when asked where the turnips were in store ,pointed out the turnip i was selecting was not in fact a turnip and directed me to the proper turnips (small, about the size of a plum)? still bought the "pretend" turnip. Very nice man in Local Nisa brought my elderly mother home in his car because he was of opinion she looked unwell ! advice and help !, a friendly bunch round here.

What did the Asda man think your pretend turnip was?

QOD I hope you realise I will now be sniggering at work every time I come across average weight legislation (I work for food manufacturer, not waitrose!)

Sorry, it did make me furrow my brow in confusion ... I thought perhaps average weight lesbians shopped in Waitrose for a moment!

I have been an e victim. 3 packets of cream cheese from Sainsburys all 10-15g out.
Apparently they pallet weigh them so some other lucky sods got MY share of cream cheese in their tubs, but I paid for it!

My MIL is convinced that turnip is just another name for a swede .

Literally can't stand waitrose, staff at our local branch generally really off and unfriendly, always go to sainsburys where everyone much more warm and personal.....
