Rude???

That's why my inlaws comeGrin And when we stay at their house, we go out and leave the DC with them. They love to spend time together so it's a win-win!

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but just wanted to say thank you to the people who have made nice comments about me. Really cheered me up on a down day!

NUFC69 · 23/02/2013 20:07

It wouldn't occur to me not to offer, tbh. (I have two grandchildren). We are seeing my DS and his wife, and baby girl for a few days when we are away on holiday - it's a given as far as I am concerned that we will sit for at least one night; why ever would you not?

Karoleann · 23/02/2013 21:09

My MIL never offers to babysit and stays too long (and is annoying, rude and generally unhelpful)
. DH won't ask her to babysit, so I just go out one of the nights with my friends.

CSIJanner · 23/02/2013 22:14

Could you hint to MIL and see if she offers? That way,it's not rude as you don't ask. Just accepted the offer with a nano-second to spare Grin

Both parents and in-laws always offer. We always say yes if they are here for more than 2nights? My parents also like to whip them away from us during the day.
