This is something people say a lot on here.

I don't understand it. Genuinely.

What is wrong with disagreeing with someone and saying so and giving reasons?

If you are secure in your choices/beliefs, what do you care what other people say?

If you have some doubts, why not hear the criticism/questioning with an open mind and perhaps rethink? Or become secure in your choice/belief as a result.

It doesn't make sense.

I really meant bigot as "someone who is intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions or prejudices". I accept there are extreme bigots (KKK) and small-minded bigots (Alf Garnett) and I'd use extremists to describe the people you mean.

I agree he was a bullying arse, though didn't know much about the subject he was supposed to be training us on, either

I'm not a vegetarian... Wink
Like I said, he wasn't a bit interested in what I had to say. I think that probably makes him an ignorant bullying arse Smile
