To resent covering for my colleague's meetings which fall at the same time as antenatal appointments?

Every week, every Thursday, off for the whole morning. A really busy day, and I get lumbered with a full morning's worth of meetings, as well as my work which piles up.

I am feeling resentful and hard done by.

I had IVF followed by a high risk pregnancy, and I was at that time managing a department of 50 staff. I had a lot of appointments (although i generally tried to get them at 830am or 530pm so as not to be disruptive). I rearranged my workload around those appointments rather than dumping my team in the shit. That it what your boss needs to do if he wants to take time off
