I love the inside of brie, but I don't like the white edges... blurgh!

You can indeed eat it while pregnant, as boomerwang says, as long as it's pasturised Grin

Love, love, love baked camembert, shove some garlic and rosemary in there before baking and it's heaven - but there is that moment when you've finished and you realise you've eaten a whole cheese and half a french stick!

Everybody keeps telling me about this pregnancy friendly pasturised brie, but I can't find it anywhere :(

YADNBU
Please eat another wedge for me.

When I was pregnant - last time was ten years ago, so my info isn't up to date I got pasturised brie from Sainsburys deli counter. I used to drive 45 minutes each way just to get hold of some.

Coeur De Lion Brie is made from pasturised milk, as is the Sainsbury's Mild and Creamy variety. Not the Sainsbo's basics one though, don't eat that... or the TTD one.

Thanks a million NotMost.
We've only got a crappy co-op where I live but it will definitely be worth a jaunt to sainsburys.

Thanks so much. Never thought that being pregnant would affect me too much diet wise as not really fond of wine/alcohol and don't smoke but giving up Brie and possibly champagne if I am pregnant at Xmas will be horrific!!

I avoided so many lovely cheeses over Christmas because of pregnancy, I might have to make a special trip RIGHT NOW to go buy some Brie if its definitely allowed! And of course a big french stick.

When I was pregnant with ds2, I used to waddle downstairs and eat cambazola, great big bites, straight from the wedge, I just couldn't help myself, we had to stop buying it until after he was born
