To really loathe it when people eat on trains?

I'm not talking about long distance ones, or even mid distance. I'm talking about commuter trains where the journey time is no more than an hour from one end of the line to the other.

I'm sitting on the train opposite someone who is literally demolishing a Maccy meal of some sort. The burger is collapsing everywhere. There are bits dropping all over the place. The sound of his chomping is making me feel ill and it absolutely stinks. Someone else in the next row has a flipping kebab. It's 9pm on a Monday! He's not even pissed. The entire carriage now smells terrible.

I eat on trains. It's a 1 hr 20 min commute but just a cold sandwich and use the pregnant excuse :) I box of chicken and other hot food would drive me crazy. /me hides sandwich

I sat next to 2 teenagers eating fish and chips yesterday. I was disgusted and jealous in equal measures.

People eating on public transport, as long as they are tidy and don't make gross smacking lip noises are a-ok with me. Not a fan of fish eaters (because I hate the smell of fish) but most other things are fine. Now, people who put their make up on the train on the other hand....do not get me started!

YANBU I nearly killed a man on a 4 hr train journey for noisily eating a bag of crisps. Why do people spend 10 seconds fishing around in the bag to get a scrap of crisp then proceed to chew it open-mouthed. Absolutely disgusting.
