PFB DS is 14 months old

Today he stacked 8 bricks on top of the other.

That's good isn't it? Should I ring Cambridge now and let them know?

Mind you, he's not walking yet and he can't find his mouth with a spoon, but still

8 bricks. Grin

On the downside, dh has taught ds to smack my bum for being naughty. (Tis a joke before the LTBs start). He said it once as a joke but ds thinks it is the best game ever.

So too right he should fetch me tea whenever ds demands it. Grin

NellyBluth · 23/01/2013 21:18

What am I doing wrong? All I get is a three-times chewed cauliflower floret shoved in my face.

This might be because I am capable of writing 'soul aim' rather than 'sole aim'

SolomanDaisy · 23/01/2013 21:20

8 blocks actually is impressive you know. We have an 18 month check and the normal expectation is 5 at 18 months.

catgirl1976 · 23/01/2013 21:23

Thanks Solomon :)

DM thought it was good. Although to be fair, she has a tendency to say things like "Oh, he just said biodiversity" when he actually said "goo da da goo"

'sad Mummy? Wanna nice cuppa tea?' was my DS first full sentence. He's now 7 and still hasn't topped it. will be working on Doric columns tomorrow

RobinSparkles · 23/01/2013 21:25

"DS puts chocolate in my mouth and says 'eat mummy, eat'."

Please can I adopt him? I would like to be fed chocolate. DD2 feeds me already chewed up bagel whilst saying "mmm, yum yum!" Er, not quite DD!

TandB · 23/01/2013 21:27

All these lovely babies. Sad

DS2 smacks me in the face with the remote control on a fairly regular basis.

Quite deliberately. He says "hiya" to make me look, and then I turn round just in time for the remote to connect with my nose. Sometimes he gets me a second time with the back swing as well.

NellyBluth · 23/01/2013 21:30

Good motor skills though, kungfu. And logic.

chocoluvva · 23/01/2013 21:31

My DD could sleep for Britain.

She often sleeps on in the morning.

chocoluvva · 23/01/2013 21:32

Mind you, she's 16 :o

chocoluvva · 23/01/2013 21:32

What a lovely thread.

It's nearly making me broody.

catgirl1976 · 23/01/2013 21:34

Yes, excelent reasoning and forward thinking kungfu

choco so, they do sleep eventually then? :)

Haha re biodiversity!! 8 bricks is stella, definitely an architect/engineer/Nobel prize winner in the making. My 15 month old loves roaring, every time he sees a lion or hears lion, rooooooar! I wonder what he'll be....

catgirl1976 · 23/01/2013 21:38

Good one, I like that!!

Vijac · 23/01/2013 21:43

Wonder if I'll get invited to any showbiz parties whoop!

perfectstorm · 23/01/2013 21:45

DS didn't say a single word until he was 16 months.

If only I'd known to be grateful.

catgirl1976 · 23/01/2013 21:45

Oh yes, think of the awards ceremonies :)

Not to mention when gets his OBE and takes you to the palace Grin

It baffles me why we encourage the perfect darlings to speak. Once started mine never stop and I mean never they even talk in their sleep Shock

They were taught from a young age that Mummy needs gin tea Grin

apostropheuse · 23/01/2013 21:51

My ten month old grandaughter laughs uproariously when her 4 year old brother cries. Every time.

I do believe she's going to be a dentist.

perfectstorm · 23/01/2013 21:51

We challenged DS to be quiet for a minute on Sunday. 20 seconds was the record.

NellyBluth · 23/01/2013 21:52

DD is currently attempting to say 'Tintin' for picture, as her favourite picture in the house is a Tintin poster. It's occasionally coming out as "tee-tee".

I could build that one into "tea", couldn't I?

perfectstorm · 23/01/2013 21:52

Mine calls booze Mummy Juice.

That sounds bad, doesn't it?

catgirl1976 · 23/01/2013 21:53

DS says "Light. Light"

Then you have to turn the light on and off while he falls about laughing.

For. Hours.
