AIBU?

To think that there's absolutely no reason to hang anything off the back of a chair? Ever?

I know. I probably am being unreasonable in the very fact I'm getting so annoyed about such a trivial subject but I am so fucking fed up with it/her.

My MIL is a pain in the arse. She does many things to annoy me when she stays here, this is not the worst thing she does. I could name a few, like washing her feet with my gutwrenchingly expensive shampoo "because they were sweaty and I don't like your body wash" or frying shit at two in the morning waking everyone up, for instance, that would qualify right up there on the list of things that have me gnawing my tongue.

She'll hang her coat on the chairs. She'll hang her daughter's coats on the chairs. She'll hang all of her freshly laundered clothes on the chairs. When I fold it, and pile it neatly on the table to be taken upstairs, she'll take it and put it back on the chairs. It is driving me insane. Every single day. Right now, there's dry washing piled high on the back of each dining chair, and wet washing on the radiator even though I have a perfectly good airer and a tumble dryer.

It makes the place look like a fucking junkyard and there's no need for it. Makes me crazy.

AIBU? I am aren't I.

I have brought mine and dh's coats in from the porch and hung them over the backs of two chairs in the dining room so they wont be absolutely freezing when we put them on.They'll go back out when its warmer though :)

You are being rather intollerant for probably a short space of time, is it worth getting yourself into a lather about? you also sound like a bit of a control freak to be honest.

As soon as she moves it onto the chair/radiator - remove it and refold/put in tumble dryer.
