Dressing this poor model in a hideous mix of prints.

What?? is this outfit?

OP posts:
MrsMushroom · 18/01/2013 20:37

nice faded scarves ?? What are they then?

Seriously....this thread is like laughing at the afflicted! It's M&S! It's for OLD people.

Foggles · 18/01/2013 20:40

I thought BHS was for old people but even that's looking trendier than
M & S these days.

sukysue · 18/01/2013 20:42

my mum wd love these and I en joking she is 82 mind!

WifeofPie · 18/01/2013 20:47

Oh Dear. Those jeggings. I can see those going terribly, terribly wrong Sad.

All of Per Una is like one big, giant episode of Punk'd!

WifeofPie · 18/01/2013 20:50

'For a touch of Italian Romance'

Italy. Romance. A cardigan featuring jaunty sequinned umbrellas.

One of these things does not belong.

ceeveebee · 18/01/2013 20:51

What kind of conversation do you think it would start - "why are you wearing such a hideous cardigan" perhaps?

bamboostalks · 18/01/2013 20:52

But it's a conversational piece don't you know.

Foggles · 18/01/2013 20:56

Hang on a minute, they said this was a conversational cardi with a touch of Italian Romance.

Am I being two-timed? Angry

Nanny0gg · 18/01/2013 20:58

MrsMushroom - Oi!
I have a horrible feeling Per Una is aimed at me and my contemporaries (at least, it used to be) and I wouldn't be seen dead in any of it. Not that I'm anywhere near my 70s yet.

Hope the lady coming from Jaeger is going to turn it all around, or it's going to go so far down it may not recover.

I hope she gets the photograpy and styling for the website sorted too as it is, frankly, shit.

Sunnywithshowers · 18/01/2013 21:05

'Conversational' = people will say something like 'Ooo what a... colourful cardigan'

snice · 18/01/2013 21:06

more prints

wriggletto · 18/01/2013 21:08

It doesn't help that the trousers are 'modelled' as if the model inside them is suffering from a bad case of thrush - possibly brought on by the high nylon content of the garment.

M&S sale clothes are mythical. You never, ever see them in store, and then they gallop onto the website like a mighty herd of appliqued wildebeest for a fortnight, dropping in price every couple of days, and then they vanish again, in a shimmer of strange prints and dropped sequins.

FreePeaceSweet · 18/01/2013 21:10

At least fellas don't have to put up with this shit. Exhibit A.

MrsMushroom · 18/01/2013 21:10

Snice that IS super!! Grin

FreePeaceSweet · 18/01/2013 21:12

Snice the model in that picture - well, I'm not saying she has a sagging chest or anything but her boobs look like they are 2 inches lower than they should be. The cut of that top is odd.

LemonBreeland · 18/01/2013 21:17

I also love the black dress. I feel I could channel a Wednesday Adams look in that.

snice · 18/01/2013 21:18

thats what I thought Free - it doesn't begin to fit her AND they couldn't be bothered to photoshop it

C4ro · 18/01/2013 21:19

There's something quite compelling about that "conversational umbrella cardi". I'm quite taken with it- do you think it would be OK for office wear or only when you're going sailing or being otherwise "jaunty"??

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/01/2013 21:21

Have they been taking inspiration from toddler crayon drawings? The trouser shoes are my faves !

GregBishopsBottomBitch · 18/01/2013 21:32

Oh my, my 55 yo Mum would not be seen dead in that shit, looks like someone just vomited on it all.

MrsGeologist · 18/01/2013 22:35

Snice, that printed jacket looks like it's made from coach seats.

WildThong · 18/01/2013 22:42

Dromedary
Cheating slightly as I put this on S&B already, but couldn't resist sharing
