...to have exacted my revenge in this way? <lighthearted>

In bed last night, DP patted my leg and went "Oooh, you're so...FLESHY" he saw my Hmm face and tried to backpedal. "No, I mean you're just lovely and squishy!" Still Hmm then tried to save himself with "Soft! Nice and soft!" Grrrr. I then went to sleep in a massive huff

This morning, in an obvious attempt to get back in my good books, he offered to pop to boots in his lunch break to pick bits and bobs up, and asked if there was anything he could get me - I said shower gel, soap, cotton wool pads....and a mooncup.

"Wait...what's a mooncup?"

"It's a brilliant type of hair product...get the assistant to show you where it is. Oh, and ask for a quick demo as well - just to be sure about how to use it"

When he left I was sniggering away...now I'm feeling slightly guilty. That was a bit too mean wasn't it?! But I'm NOT fleshy. Or squishy. I do have nice soft skin though

You are pure evil OP, I love it. Good on that assistant for giving such a...comprehensive demonstration though! Is your DP going to kill you?

piprabbit · 17/01/2013 13:50

And now I'm feeling sorry for the assistant whose wonderful mime was thrown back in his face Sad.

IslaMann · 17/01/2013 13:51

Genius just genius. You are my new hero OP!

flamingtoaster · 17/01/2013 13:57

You are an inspiration to all of us!

nevermindthecrocodiles · 17/01/2013 13:57

I have just received a text from DP: "You are in big trouble. I am going to start calling you Squishy in public. MINX!"

He seems to have survived unscathed then.....

I'm a bit sad about the assistant though. May have to go back in and buy a mooncup just to praise his fabulous mime!

Omg that is VERY funny. Are you going to catch up with him (whilst crying with laughter).

Oh this has made my afternoon.

CailinDana · 17/01/2013 14:00

You'll have to watch out for his revenge though. If my DH did something like that to me I couldn't let it go, I'd have to something really EVIL. He'll be plotting, mark my words.

INeedThatForkOff · 17/01/2013 14:01

Brilliant!

WhyDoesMyMamLiveInMyMirror · 17/01/2013 14:03

All hail NeverMind!!! That is definitely a memory to savourGrin
However, I am a little bit Envy that your DH still thinks you are a minx...bet you can think of some way to get out of big trouble tonight!!

MolehillAlchemy · 17/01/2013 14:10

This has really made me laugh.

I'd watch your back OP. He's plotting his revenge I bet!

Primrose123 · 17/01/2013 14:31

Is this really true OP?

If so, it's the funniest thing I've ever read on mumsnet!

You are cruel..... very clever though. Grin

FireOverBabylon · 17/01/2013 15:13

Won't someone tihnk of the poor sales assistant in Boots, having to mime the insertion of female sanitary products in public to another bloke?

Poor lad having to wave his leg around for your amusement. Angry Grin Grin

MammaTJ · 17/01/2013 15:17

Votes nevermindthecrocodiles in charge of the revenge department!!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 17/01/2013 15:23

Oh my! Too funny. That has made me really laugh!

AngelWreakinHavoc · 17/01/2013 15:27

Too funny. You really should have recorded it on your phone op!

Schnarkle · 17/01/2013 15:30

Genius. Bravo Grin I'm still laughing at the thoughts of the mime and your poor DP's face.

Binkyridesagain · 17/01/2013 15:34

Brilliant, laughing hassle my headache worse but it was so worth it.

NippyDrips · 17/01/2013 15:38

Haha I like it. I would also be wary of revenge attempts though.

worsestershiresauce · 17/01/2013 15:42

He threw the box back at the assistant Hmm. Really? I don't believe a word of this story.

MummyPig24 · 17/01/2013 17:15

Oh god. Hilarious. Wish I'd never told my dp what a mooncup was and then I could have used this trick on him.

nevermindthecrocodiles · 17/01/2013 17:33

worsestershiresauce it is true, I promise - I'm not a fantasising mooncup troll! Although having read it back I do concede that it sounds very mad indeed...next time I will just tell him he's squishy too. Less hanging round Boots like a slightly confused shoplifter that way! Grin

OHforDUCKScake · 17/01/2013 18:06

Oh Im not sure if this is for real or not buy I dont care. I LOVE it. My chest hurt from laughing so hard.

OP I love you. Grin

nevermindthecrocodiles · 17/01/2013 18:26

I thought you would like an update...DP has just waltzed through the door with a boots bag - and took out a mooncup! And said (full and exact quote!) :

"Here you go. Right size too, I checked. And I know how it works. I'm not afraid, because I'm a REAL MAN!"

My tummy is actually hurting from laughing! Unfortunately I bought myself a mooncup from the marvellous mime boy earlier (massive surge of guilt) and my DM bought me one when she went shopping this afternoon because she thought it was "wrong" of me to "bully" DP - I will be drowning in mooncups soon. Perhaps I could have a mooncup museum...

But ah, bless him, he's so proud of himself!! I expect the return to boots must have taken a lot of bravery Grin oooh I do love him!
