They look so unnatural; the babies have obviously been manhandled into many of these 'cute' poses. I'm seeing more and more of these - newborn on its front, supposedly propping its head up with its hand, usually with a ghastly colour popped flower stuck on its head.

Just bleurgh.

And fecking DM was only link I could get to work.

I quite like some of them, especially the one in the slipper that looks like a peanut - but agree that some of them are too unnaturally posed.
I do actually love Anne Geddes though and have her 2013 calendar that was linked to up-thread - but then we do have our own baby at the moment, so DS1 is quite happy comparing the AG babies with ours and deciding which is cuter (so far DS2 is winning quite a lot of the time! )

Anne Geddes photos truly are the stuff of nightmares. Terrible, horrifying nightmares.

I find some of them distinctly unsettling. The over-staged poses bear an unfortunate resemblance to Victorian post-mortem photography.

Sorry, I have to agree with pandemoniaa on this one. Super creepy. Harmless though.

YANBU! They're freaky looking and there is something kind of dead looking about the babies. They disturb me too.

Ive just had a browse through Anne Geddes' website. I actually really like a lot of them. Some are twee, but some are incredibly beautiful.

I don't like them - apart from the monkey nut one, that is quite cool and looks comfortable.

Putting a child in a stoneware fruit bowl or a basket is unkind. It must be uncomfortable.

I don't like the kind of precocious thing they have going on with the folded arms in the first one either. It's a baby, leave it alone.

Oh thank GOD I'm not the only one, I despise this style of 'photography'.
