to wonder if this girl will actually get £150k+ for her £15 dress?

Yesterday a girl listed her dress on ebay for £15. What she didn't notice was that people could see her reflection in the mirror - with no underwear on!! The photo circulated around the internet and she's relisted the dress. Bids are now at £150k+. Will she actually get that much? I'm assuming they're all joke bids and won't pay up?

So is the photograph is code for something else?

LovesGSD · 15/01/2013 17:21

I seen the photo yesterday with no pants and tbh I wouldn't of notice if it wasn't pointed out. Fair do's if she does get loads of money for the dressGrin

girlsyearapart · 15/01/2013 17:33

That's definitely a real seller cos it links back to the dress I bought!

itsallinmyhead · 15/01/2013 17:36

I haven't read the whole thread 'cos I'm pissing my sides and wanted to share.

Has anyone noticed she's STILL asking for £2.99 p&p? Shock

KeepYerTitsIn · 15/01/2013 17:39

Can anyone explain to me what that comment referring to nasty shoes and pedicured feet means please, I'm intrigued? Thanks.

MilkshakeMaker · 15/01/2013 17:47

Its catering to the fetish people, Get the skankiest pair of shoes you can find make your feet all pretty and show a bit more of your leg than neccessary and watch the bidding commence!

KeepYerTitsIn · 15/01/2013 17:52

Bloody hell, really?? Blush. Why do the shoes have to be skanky though?

squoosh · 15/01/2013 17:58

There have been some shoes for sale on ebay where the foot modelling said shoes had been freshly jizzed on. That kind of thing.

KeepYerTitsIn · 15/01/2013 18:07

Good God. Suppose as I'm in my late forties I should know about that, obviously led a sheltered life erm not exactly. And these people pay a lot of money for the shoes then do they?

MilkshakeMaker · 15/01/2013 18:11

yes and "well worn" tights etc, used bras with pics of them on in saucy poses...

I'm sure I learned about it here, The dark side of ebay!

nellyjelly · 15/01/2013 18:15

Yes i came across a section of ebay selling knickers. The photos were very revealing shots of bums and bits barely covered in knickers. They put a disclaimer that the knickers the buyer will receive aren't the ones in the photo biut it is clear the sellers are catering to people who want to buy used knickers. Nice.

dexter73 · 15/01/2013 18:21

This sort of thing KeepYerTitsIn (apt name for this listing!

KeepYerTitsIn · 15/01/2013 18:22

Am rifling through knicker drawer. Do they have to be fancy or will period pants do, do you think?

KeepYerTitsIn · 15/01/2013 18:25

See, if I saw that listing I would just think "yuk, secondhand boots". I'm going to make a bloody fortune here, I've got loads of old slippers and converse! Result!

LovesGSD · 15/01/2013 18:26

I had to lol when I read the description 'never worn naked' obvs the girl had a sense of humour GrinGrin

LineRunner · 15/01/2013 18:56

I think the p&p should be no more than £2.70.

milf90 · 15/01/2013 18:59

It took me and dh a while to see what was wrong with the photo, so I think it could have easily been a mistake. Perhaps if she was listing items on eBay she was taking a photo of herself in the clothes and with this dress it disnt fit/look good on so she just took a puc of it hung up and didn't realise she had caught herself in the mirror?

I admire her sense of humour

itsallinmyhead · 15/01/2013 19:30

Here Here LineRunner I think the same. £2.99 seems steep to me Grin

IMHO she knew she was in the pic! Who doesn't check the pics they're about to upload to ebay? In fact, who doesn't take a few pics then check to see which the item you're selling looks best in before uploading them?

I think good on her, all the same! I wish I'd thought of it. Away to get the camera

SoggySummer · 15/01/2013 19:37

I reckon this is a take off or a follow up copy cat of some sort.

The reason why is yesterdays pic I saw via FB the listing was in Carterton in Oxfordshire (somewhere I am familiar with) and the clothed listing 2nd time around is apparently in Tamworth.

Maybe both were jokes - maybe this is someone trying to be clever and milk the situation for more money for their same dress.

Bearbehind · 15/01/2013 20:18

Definitely some kind of con as there is now anther one listed in Manchester, it does take long for the con merchants to join in does it?

Bearbehind · 15/01/2013 20:19

*doesn't

ladythatlunches · 15/01/2013 20:39

There is another weird post on eBay, someone has posted saying that they want to make money off her .. I don't get how that works.

LineRunner · 15/01/2013 21:14

I could write a thriller short story about this.

They seemed like harmless mistaken adverts on an internet selling site ... but they were selling kidneys, renting wombs and giving 5 star reviews to Katie Price books ... and the rest was moyder.

LineRunner · 15/01/2013 21:35

£3 p&p is steep.
