AIBU to think that putting your bra on first is a bit odd?

In the gym, not that I'm looking or anything, but there are women putting their bras on before their knickers.

That's not right is it? Nix on first,yes?

I'm confused by people putting on tights before skirts - tights over underwear is one of the worst looks known to man. it goes:

knickers
bra
skirt/trousers
top
socks/tights
shoes

and reverse for undressing..

So theghost, you would put a skirt on before tights? That's not right!

Bra first. Always. Don't want them to get tangled up in the pantyhose.

I have pendular swinging melons and they tend to impede any process unless tethered.

I never have that problem with my vulvs...

Glasses (or I can't find), Knickers, bra, socks, trousers, top, brush hair.

Unless floor is wet when one might go sock, trouser leg, shoe. Repeat with other leg.

Bra first for me but I have had major surgery and am self conscious as the scars are very noticeable, whereas my fanjo has been seen by practically the whole western world thanks to 6 babies, many miscarriages and an addiction to internet exhibitionism, so I am not bothered about that so much!

Sock before trousers? No!

Trousers, then socks surely? OTherwise you risk getting wet socks, but trousers first means that you can then dry off your feet if the floor is wet and then put sock and shoes on together.

And trouser leg, sock shoe, trouser leg, sock, shoe is frankly weird!

Thinking about it, I would do bra first with towel round my waist if I was wearing a tunic or a dress, because I'd be decent quickest that way.

Lot of changing quickly and discreetly in communal family changing rooms. Not posh gyms.

Gyms are an unknown place, but at swimming pool it is:-
go into cubical and then I can dress without fear of Mumsnetters watching me.

If you are really interested-
pants, trousers, top, jumper, socks, shoes, bra, top, knickers, trousers, one sock, one shoe, other sock, other shoe.

Only cos pants, trousers, top, jumper, socks, shoes is somewhere between unrequited b/f love and testosterone surge so have to cover up top, he doesn't care about the lower half! Oh and sock shoe is only in wet places, you have to be adaptable.

Generally I reckon knickers come first because pre puberty that's the only thing to cover up quickly.

Socks/tights always last surely?
Otherwise I agree, knickers then bra.
Though I don't wear a bra in the winter as I have small boobage and big jumpers.

Bra first, as someone with a somewhat pendulous bosom. Tis not a nice feeling to lean over to put knickers on and have my breasts swing away. I like to contain the beasts before attempting ANY form of leaning or bending.

Do you live / go to the gym in Essex cat? Because apparently there are a lot of women who like to have a vagazzle & maybe they like to show ot off after paying all that money for having it done...

hohohoho yes! I do. Though I perceive I am in a minority and may have to rethink.

why, yes, rulebritannia, I can saw myself in half as well! thing is I don't wear tights under trousers because I don't like the way you can't take them off easily if you get too hot.

Well that's tricky isn't it lookslike - if found inspecting closely enough to fully admire vagazzle, likley to get towel-whipped.

And there are many virtually naked down there which means even a glance leaves impression of palps as DH says - nervous giggle

This made me laugh, and reminded me when I said to myself " In future knickers on before the high heel shoes, you stupid woman". I got the first foot in but the other got stuck in the knicker leg opening, lost my balance and fell sideways onto the hotel room floor, still clutching my knickers. I was on my own and laughed out loud at my stupidity. Can't remember if I had my bra on, only that I was standing infront of the mirror, looking to see if those shoes made my ankles look slim . Could have broken my upper arm as that is what I fell onto.

I have to disagree as someone with huge boobs I like them contained asap so bra first then knickers.

I think that although the norm seems to be Knicks on first, there surely must be a get out clause for the larger boobed posters, who have unilaterally vetoed, based on factual evidence, for a non judgemental, bra first approach.
