AIBU to think that putting your bra on first is a bit odd?

In the gym, not that I'm looking or anything, but there are women putting their bras on before their knickers.

That's not right is it? Nix on first,yes?

Zappo I go swimming at weekend, and I go to the gym on the way to work or at lunchtime so shower definitely required!
What's with the towel wrap manoeuvre, I couldn't care less who sees me in the nuddy!

knickers always on first, dont care about people seeing my tits but my lady garden is personal.

Whatever I grab first re bra and knicks, and sock then shoe and sock then shoe. Otherwise generally step in a puddle with socks on.

Socks are last before shoes!!!

All clothes before shoes of course...just whatever order they come out of bag, tops or bottoms. But generally bra under top and knicks under trousers natch.

Lol this is making me laugh. Isn't it weird how majority of us put pants on first, how did that come about? Have we all copied from our mums, is it handed down through the generations. Both my kids and dh also put pants on first.

Don't know why but I find this really funny, imagine a whole nation (nearly) putting their pants on first.

This reminds me of the 'do you have a favourite eyebrow' thread. Should be utterly irrelevant but it's totally fascinating.

I do bra first - but because I dress my top half with a towel wrapped round the bottom half & then move on to the bottom half.

If I was stood there starkers then it would be knickers first, obviously .

Not that I would be caught dead in a gym, but I always put my bra on first, because if I don't, when I bend down to put my knickers on, my norks get in the way almost touch the floor and it hurts - they weigh to much to "dangle free" so to speak, I get splits in the skin underneath where they join my body.
If I could find one big enough I'd wear a crop top/stretch bra type thing at night but I can't find one :(

Bottoms then tops. Easy.
Under bottoms, under tops.
Outer bottoms, outer tops.

Covering feet comes later.

Obviously.

Anything else is just odd.

Actually on thinking about it a bit more and after discussion with dh, I reckon it boils down to the fact that the majority of us do not want to sit down without pants therefore they have to instinctively go on first. Yuk to bear (oops bare) bums on furniture.

pom these are lovely and comfy and generous.

When I go swimming i go in my cossy and find I usually forget my pants and bra No problem I go home damp (to anyone who knows me I have not pissed myself-yet)

most of mumsnet appears obsessed with ogling women in gyms today.

knickers or bra, whichever is at hand, or bra later on after knickers and trousers if i just put deodorant on.

Bra first, always, so towel can go around bottom half.

I don't know what a gym is, but lots of people on this thread seem to know what it is. I shall presume it's not an illegal activity for the moment.

Regardless of where you're dressing the law is thus:

knickers

If wearing a skirt it is slightly amended:

knickers
bra
tights
skirt
top
shoes

Knickers first

Socks last.

Top must go before skirt to be tucked in.

YANBU but, given I'm bfing my 2mth old DS at the mo, sometimes it HAS to be bra first, otherwise I'd never get dry...

I have seen a woman at the gym put on only a bra, and then head through to the hairdryers where everyone else is fully dressed, doing hair and/or make up, to blow dry under both armpits with two hairdryers. It was very surprising. She seemed quite proud.

What an oddly entertaining and fascinating thread.

I do a bit of both, depends on whether at gym or at home, whether DDs are around, whether DH is around often let him cop a feel while dressing , what I pick up first, etc etc.

Top must go before skirt to be tucked in.

Tops are NEVER tucked into skirts!

Well maybe shirt style are, but I just thought of that after I ranted.

Got to be knickers first IMO.

DP puts socks on before anything else. I find it irrationally annoying and weird.
