to be annoyed with everyone re due date

I am 6 days overdue and am receiving a constant daily barage of texts and calls from people asking if there's"any news?" I know they are just interested and being nice but to be quite honest its bloody annoying and puts me in a bad mood daily. If there was any news they'd fucking know...why cant they piss off and leave me alone. I'm hoping the calls stop once my DC is born

Full term is a 5 week period from 37 weeks to 42 weeks. Average gestation for a first time mum is around 41 weeks and 2 days (or 41 and 3, can't remember off top of my head), so you are not 'overdue' until you go over 42 weeks.

I wish to fuck we could get rid of 'due dates' as it is completely and utterly arbitrary and it is based on a hundred year old error in calculation 'Due dates' are so ridiculous, have zero actual meaning and cause people so much angst and annoyance - like you're unfairly experiencing OP, so tell them all to get lost.

The calls, texts etc started at 30 weeks with DS3. This time I have lied about my due date.

You would be more upset if no one asked and no one cared! As someone who has only ever had early babies I have no idea what it feels like so you do have my sympathies as well.
