To think there is no acceptable reason to poo in the shower at the gym (and lave it there)

Honestly I am BAFFLED why anyone would think this was okay.

My friend went in to the shower before work and there it was a lone turd :( and it's a communal shower (mens).

Were they not worried somebody would come whilst they were shitting in the shower? Hmm

There have been a few long threads over the years where posters have described how many dirty bastards there are around, shitting in random and inappropriate places.
It must be a passive aggressive thing? To wipe shit over something or leave a turd in the shower is not sane, is it?

I manage a care environment (intentionally vague). I have recently had to deal with a random staff shitter. The cleaners were reporting to me that in vacant rooms i.e. no patients, the toilet bowls were either full of shit or there were skid marks all over the bowl and seat.

To cut a long story short, as I investigated the 'perpetrator' got more 'active'. I was closing in on them and they started wiping shit on the wall and floor. I ended up sending all the staff a letter telling them that CCTV was being inserted into the toilets of rooms.
It stopped that day.

I know exactly who it was as well. I could weep at their seniority and social standing.

People are weird. There must be people reading this thread giggling to themselves thinking 'I do that'.

It must be a type of thrill thing for some people but it is VILE. My mum cleans at a building which has a lot of conferences. The people there are quite well to do with their nice cars. Mercedes, bmw's, maserati's, even Bentley's, Morgan's etc. She has a lot of tales to tell from the toilets. Sometimes it is just the usual staff but most of the time it is from people who have turned up for the conferences. She finds used sanitary towels etc in the window sills?? She went to lift the toilet brush in the one cubicle and found it full of sick?? The one toilet seat lid was down - and she was dreading it - and when she opened it there was a broken glass in there?? WHY? She doesn't get paid enough to do jobs like that!! Turds on the floor too. Yuck. And i must say that mum said the worst toilets are the womens. They must be weirdos. The ones that get her the most are the ones who have pooed properly in the toilet but there is never any toilet paper used. Mum said she would love to find out which people are doing it but you can never tell can you? My only experience is when i used to work in an office and when i got to work one morning my cup was full of liquid. Looked like orange squash but no, it was pee. Don't know where it came from. I dumped it.

I lived in halls in France once - the communal toilets and showers were GRIM!

We had used tampons, sanitary towels, poo etc etc left in the communal showers

I used to work in a school where finding random turds was not unusual. Apparently (according to a child protection person) it is quite common amongst children who are abused / neglected. I don't know whether that extends into adulthood, but I guess it could if not addressed.

The thing that made it so weird was that other wise she was a perfectly normal girl, she dressed well and cared about her apperance, wore makeup and had nice hair, she had lots of friends and a number of boyfriends and if you didn't see her room you would have no idea she was weird.

There was an empty room in the house, usually friends would sleep in there (like me) and apparently she would often stay in there, especially if she had boyfriends over, I always wondered if they ever questioned why they couldn't go into her room.

In a previous job I regularly worked with young offenders so had a fair bit of contact with the police.

I had an interesting chat with one policeman about how common it is (or was? maybe forensics and DNA have put an end to it??) ) for burglars to shit at the scene of a crime - apparently its a mix of adrenalin causing them to urgently need a dump plus the 'marking their territory/leaving their calling card" type of response.

Using this theory then maybe these random dumpers in showers, cubicles etc get a buzz from it and the risk of being caught? feel they are marking their place or demonstrating some sort of 'power'? eg. I can do this and you have to clean up my mess, therefore I am more powerful than you.

I also meant to add that in that same job we had a teenage girl who used to wrap up her poo in paper and leave it round her room for people to find or smear it on the walls.

On the surface she seemed like a normal, if a little childlike at times, teenage girl. She'd had an awful early life though and her strange behaviour was due to this.

At my previous place of work, a colleague opened his desk drawer one morning to find a huge turd. It was disgusting, he was horrified and very upset. Kept asking for days "why would someone do that? What did I do to make someone do that to me". I felt so sorry for him and so angry at the disgusting pig who did it. We never found out who it was. Still can't get my head around why someone would be so gross.

A couple of years later, in the same building, overnight someone littered the office with photocopies of his penis (assume it was his...). Why? What is wrong with people? Who puts their cock on a photocopier in the middle of the night then pops a copy onto everyone's desk? Insane.

WHo was at the party, were they people you know, or were you hosting on behalf of someone else?

If I thought that someone 'in my circle' did that to me, in my house, I'd have to hunt them down and punish them, I'm afraid. Not sure how I'd find them, but I'd certainly try.

Yes, it was someone I knew but they never admitted. I ostracized them though and never saw them again .

A bit of light googling seemed to suggest that this (scatolia - the smearing of faeces) was strongly related to protest. So one could see how this would occur in prisons and other institutions, when people felt they wanted to process against 'the system', but had/could see no other means in which to do so.

I don't understand still why people would shit in supermarkets, showers, homes.
