To feel gutted that DH is not & never will be...

Dominic West.

That's it really.
It's just putting me in such a bad mood.
IABVU but I don't care.

I actually experienced this in the mid 90s with an ex. That time I was furious that he wasn't Hugh Grant.

I think I need a psychologist. I'm only half joking.

Never mind half joking, I am not joking at all when I say I was convinced for a while that Hugh Grant would meet me and fall completely in love with me and realise marriage was a good thing afterall Wink.

He didn't even respond to my post on his web chat Sad.

ohgd I am SOOOO glad it's not just me- I really thought I would grow out of this but it's as bad as when I was a teenager. I will NEVER marry Spike from BtVS- wah!

Mind you, my friend was talking dismissively about fancying 'fictional men'. Her RL boyfriend is paunchy with a ponytail and bought her a dog coat from Costco for her birthday....

YANBU - my DH is persistently NOT Scottish , despite knowing I have the raging horn for a west Highlands accent some affection for the place. I try not to let it get me down, as he is dreamy perfection is all other ways, but it niggles.

I had to google Dominic West because I was surprised he was so desirable. Turns out I was actually thinking of Sam West (who is a great actor but often reminds me of his mother during her Sybil Fawlty years). Blush

I have to say that Dominic West doesn't really do anything for me. Now Phillip Winchester . . .

Shock A dog coat Mardy. I hope it was a coat for her dog, which is still pretty awful but better than my first thought of a fur coat made from dog a la Cruella de Ville.

I have the perfect cure for you. He wanted to marry Samantha Sheffield (later Cameron). By his own admission he would have crawled over broken glass for her but Call me Dave swooped in there and carried her off.

There must be something desperately wrong with Dominic West, despite all appearances to the contrary, when a woman picks David Cameron over him.*

Used to make plans to go to LA when I was a youngster in the 80's to accidentally bump into Mel Gibson in the local Deli or summat .

Do know someone who pursued David Boraneaz when he was in London, managed to meet him, sending roses to his hotel room etc and asked him out for dinner.

notrosie ronan was my first love too and still has a place in my heart. was so gutted when i found out he'd done the dirty on his wife. didnt think he had it in him Sad

im glad im not alone with my teenage fantasies! my dh thinks im barmey. and yes... i do believe if DT ever met me we'd fall madly in love Grin

his wife's lovely though!

i always thought id grow out of this kind of thing... but its worse now than when i was younger Blush
