Is this wierd? Opinions needed please. Just had hand delivered to our house a parcel addressed to Katy, then our address. Inside was a card which had a large red heart on it which said inside "To Katy, WOW!" then there was a parcel from Ann Summers inside was a gift wrapped large dildo in the shape of a large penis. Slightly wierded out by this as we have lived here for 9 years plus it was hand delivered but we didn't see who posted it.

My name is Kathryn, but no-one who knows me calls me Katy. Not sure what to think really but just feels a bit odd.

I think that it could be construed as threatening or obscene communication, which is illegal. So possibly worth logging in case it has a sinister intent.

Well creepy. You may have a stalker. I would keep it just in case for a few days and see if anything else happened.

I think you can get a personal alarm from the police it might be worth asking for one and telling them what happened.

'by the bin' is a really common place for delivery people to leave parcels. What is wrong with you lot? Just call Ann Summers already and find out if it was wrong address/ who ordered it

There would be a missed delivery note to say its by the bins/over fence whatever- but I've never had a parcel randomly left out

Trap - Ann summers don't usually send notes saying they love you, do they? Meaning it's not from them. So it's odd....?

I often get parcels left by bin with no delivery note, if it is by local rep...its quite standard

Back from do, no-one knew anything about it which I expected, I don't know anyone who would even think this was funny TBH.

Can I just clear up, it wasn't a missed delivery from Ann Summers - it was a sealed plastic envelope with Katy and my address and postcode handwritten on it but no stamps or postage of any kind on and it was hand delivered. There was no invoice - it wasn't that sort of parcel. The handwriting on the Hallmark Heart card inside which was in its own envelope and seperate to the "gift" was the same as that on the envelope outside. Then there was also a paper Ann SUmmers bag and inside was a giftwrapped parcel in male stripper wrapping paper, then tissue paper then the boxed vibrator.

And not sure why I should be embarrassed and keeping quiet on facebook about it? It's totally wierd and stalkerish or it's a mistake, either way nothing for me to be embarrassed about. And if I get anything further then it's surely useful that everyone knows about it?

Oh, and of course I didn't take it out of the bin and take it along to my party, I did take the card though to show people and they all agreed it was creepy.

I think someone has made a terrible mistake. The most likely thing is that it's someone you know, who knows a Katy as well as a Kathryn (you), and has mixed up their deliveries while playing Santa... doubt they'll own up though - would you?

BTW you have put a fair bit of identifying info on this thread (names/location) - you might want to get those posts deleted by reporting them.

Take it out if the bin incase you get anything else and the police need evidence!
