I was looking around John Lewis the other day for gifts and say a SodaStream. I remembered my dp saying he had one as a kid and thought it would be a 'fun' gift as I've already got him grown up stuff.

Anyway, it was £149.99 and thought I would look about first before coming back.

Went to Currys and exactly the same one was.....£34.99!!

It's all wrapped up ready for DH for christmas and I've ordered a box of flavours off Amazon that will be here Christmas eve.

Got some beef, incorrectly priced at £4.99 a kilo, rather than £9.99. When the assistant told us he would sell it to us and then remove the discount label, so no one else could have it, we bought the lot - 10 joints of beef will do us for the whole winter!

Did you just see on Jonathan Ross show - Jamie Oliver fizzed white wine with a Sodastream. I might need to try this later.

I brought a lego friends advent calendar for £2.50 a couple of weeks ago - also got a moshi monster toy one for £2.50. Defintely my bargains of the year - have stashed them away for next year
