Fuckers.

Apparently they delivered my Amazon parcel yesterday. It says so on my Amazon tracking thingy. Except they fucking well did not.

Why does Amazon use them? Why does anyone use them? Fuckers.

They left our parcel containing two mobile phones worth about £600 leaning against our front door in a block of flats, where anyone can walk past.
Only good thing it was still there when I returned from work at 6pm...

CajaDeLaMemoria · 19/12/2012 22:13

Oh, apparantly my parcel was now delivered.

At 10am this morning. God knows where, or to who, but it wasn't here. And it didn't track as delivered an hour ago, when Littlewoods were checking where it was and promising it'd be delivered before 10pm tonight.

So now it's another 47 minutes (so far) on hold to sort it out. And then I'll have to phone Ocado again too, because they promised to email me a voucher an hour ago, said it'd take 5 minutes and I still don't have it. Gaah.

JaquelineHyOnChristmasSpirit · 19/12/2012 22:17

OP I'm Amazon Prime as well and the bastards failed to deliver my parcel yesterday. It was out for delivery at 7.24am, then back at the depot at 17.21 with no attempt made to deliver. I contacted Amazon bloody furious and they said they would chase it up. All of a sudden the tracking changed to show that the driver had attempted delivery at 9pm and left a calling card!

The lying fucking cunts is all I can say, I was on the phone to Amazon at 9pm so they have proof no one tried to deliver.

Today half of the parcel arrived but no sign of the rest of it Angry Angry

I shall be complaining again tomorrow. Utter crap!

soontobeburns · 19/12/2012 22:49

My amazon products always are delivered by royal mail. I'm glad they don't seem to use yodel here.

rubydoobydoo · 19/12/2012 23:36

I refuse to order from any company who uses yodel - ever since they put a card through my door saying my expensive electrical item was in no. 8's back yard. We live at no. 6. And the only thing in no. 8's back yard was no. 8's large dog. I even checked their wheelie bins..... Xmas Confused

Plomino · 20/12/2012 00:03

They are craptastic lying bastards . They swore blind they'd delivered a shitload of parcels to us . Really. Despite the fact that due to a broken leg, I was confined to the sofa all day every day for a fortnight , and saw no one even walk up to the door . And no card .

Don't give me that shit. Getting parcels delivered by them , well I've had more luck in a casino .

Fimbo · 20/12/2012 00:08

Can I throw Interlink Express in here as well. Another load of lying tossers and not interested at the depot because its franchised. Thankfully my parcel was from White Stuff and they were excellent and even knocked 15% off for hassles.

blindinglight · 20/12/2012 00:09

Yanbu... They are a shower of shites.

VestaCurry · 20/12/2012 00:12

I returned two parcels (delivered by YODEL) to the suppliers last year. Both had been thrown over my back gate. Both contained glass items and were labelled as 'fragile' and 'glass'. I took photos of where the parcels landed, dated and timed. No idea why yodel still being used by companies as it is truly crap.

Terrywoganstrousers · 20/12/2012 01:18

I had something put through my window which was ajar (was in at the time Hmm) Unfortunately it went behind the sofa due to the position of the window and I didn't find it until I pulled the sofa out to move house! About six months later (but could have been years Shock)

ZonkedOut · 20/12/2012 02:41

They have thrown things over my gate. And other companies have too. Despite having an unlocked side gate. Most of the parcels have been ok, but one book from Amazon got soaked in the rain.

I actually ran over one parcel, I didn't see it, and it had landed in the path of my car. Fortunately, it was one of those times where the box was 4 times bigger than it needed to be, and the item was in the side of the box that didn't get squashed. No thanks to the delivery guy (don't think that one was yodel).

Iheartpasties · 20/12/2012 05:35

totally unbelievebly crap.

HECTheHallsWithRowsAndFolly · 20/12/2012 05:55

Yodel left a parcel outside my back door the other day.

Not too bad.

Except my back door is 6 feet the other side of a 5 foot gate, which is chained and padlocked shut. And the only way that parcel got outside my back door was from being thrown over the gate.

that parcel contained a bottle of perfume and a tin of fudge.

lovely combination to hurl onto a concrete floor...

HECTheHallsWithRowsAndFolly · 20/12/2012 05:56

Shock you don't pull out your sofa to hoover behind and underneath it?

Grin
Jambonfrites · 20/12/2012 05:59

Do yodel delivery drivers not know how doorbells work?

TantrumsAndBalloons · 20/12/2012 06:20

Yodel left a parcel in my wheelie bin.

They did not bother to put a card through, saying where it was.

I put the wheelie bins out the next morning. My bin men knocked on my door at 6:20am and asked, did I know there was an unopened amazon parcel on the top of my recycling, did I mean to throw it away?

Thank god the bin men are lovely and honest.

I dont understand why they cannot just leave a bloody card to say they have left it somewhere.

Glittertwins · 20/12/2012 06:25

Are they in the wheelie bin or around the side of the house! My parents had a box dumped on their doorstep when they were away. It was clearly marked with the contents and also to be left with a neighbour. Heaven knows how it was still there when they returned 4 days later when it was in full view of the road.
(my brother forgot they were going away when he ordered it). Not quite sure why a neighbour didn't take it in though, I would have done and have done.

Sleepyfergus · 20/12/2012 06:25

I had a similar situation a couple if months ago with Yodel and a package from Amazon. Tracking stated it had been left in my non existent porch.

Tried to get through to Yodel - unsurprisingly, all their lines were busy. So phoned Amazon who were fab. Not a problem, they would contact Yodel to follow up and arranged for a new product to be dispatched ASAP

Never did find out what happened to the original package. Either never delivered or was nicked from my front doorstep.

Yodel = Shower of shite!

OrangeLily · 20/12/2012 06:27

I recently just bought a very expensive bed and for some reason they used yodel to deliver and put together??

Bed is now all cracked and broken! From where the man forced screws in to wood that didn't fit.

They must be under some amount of time pressure!

HECTheHallsWithRowsAndFolly · 20/12/2012 07:36

I bet the reason they don't leave a card is the card would say where the parcel was and they know damned well they're not leaving them in safe places and so they intend that you don't have any proof.
