So in Boots earlier with my DD in her pram. At the till and the lady while scanning my good was peering at my pram.
She smiles and starts saying "oh what a beautiful..."
My chest starts to puff up, little smile on my face...
She finishes "colour pram"

PRAM? Colour fucking pram?? What about my PFB in the pram? Hey? HEY??

(Lighthearted incase anyone starts a PFB rant and I walked away giggling to myself)

I got a bee too it's red. I never got a compliment though!

Yours is probably cleaner than mine!

I'm going to buy some fairy lights and go faster stripes now I is totally jealous.

JustFabulous · 20/12/2012 18:44

What is wrong with pointing out to someone they have used the wrong word?

Surely you are doing a nice thing so they don't make a fool of themselves.

Everythink annoys me. It isn't cute and it isn't funny.

FromEsme · 20/12/2012 18:48

Oh it's not nice, come on.

PickledInAPearTree · 20/12/2012 18:49

Well for one thing about four people have done it!

It's doing my head in and everyfink.

pocketfullofquarters · 20/12/2012 19:23

Everythink annoys you JustFabulous ?

Oh the irony.

IShallCallYouSquishy · 20/12/2012 19:37

I'm more then used to making a fool of myself so its water off a ducks back to me Grin

Some people, eg those with dyslexia, might be upset if their mistakes were being scrutinised and picked up on. Just saying. I'm not dyslexic, just a bit lazy dim, but if I were try and think how that could make someone feel grammar police?

But I'm loving the idea of go faster stripes. And maybe some streamers coming off the handles? Now that would be pretty tacky wicked!

Yes, pocket, when people use that instead of everything.

tinkertitonk · 20/12/2012 21:44

I was at school today and a lady i know was there with her baby. The baby was wearing a snow suit. I said 'aww i want one of those' meaning the brightly coloured snow suit. She thought i meant the baby Blush

FivesGoldNorks · 20/12/2012 22:00

I wonder how many times a compliment has been misinterpreted like that :)

oldraver · 20/12/2012 22:22

I would think it a nice pram as I had the same one with a very nice liner

I do tend to see prams with bags hanging on them all skewwiff and want to go and straighten them or mention bag clips....but realise I would be clocked for the nutter I am Xmas Grin

WhoPutTheDickOnTheSnowman · 20/12/2012 23:45

Hah, brilliant - great pram by the way.

As much as I adored my PFB and thought the sun shone out of every orifice I can freely admit he looked very much like Winston Churchill just out of the bath for a fair while - I did get a few 'ahhh what a...strapping lad'. He also used to get a crinkly face when he smiled that made him look like an old lady - I think he just had far too much face!
I'm just crap at cooking babies I think, they all came out looking pickled - I pity the Boots lady that peered in tbh!

I saw a pushchair with a fur handwarmer thing that made me a bit Xmas Envy

LemonBreeland · 21/12/2012 07:20

too much face. :) Love it
