To think my DS2 is a bit thick

ChristmasKnackers · 17/12/2012 09:41

He is 14 weeks old and only sleeps or likes to look at his little bee. He is not interested in anything and cries if there are lots of people around!

DS1 was so inquisitive, he would never sleep if people wer around and would be into everything?!

thick? Xmas Biscuit

StickEmWithThePointyEnd · 17/12/2012 09:43

I hope this is a joke.

OneWellAndTrulyCrackeredMummy · 17/12/2012 09:44

I refuse to take you seriously OP.

squeakytoy · 17/12/2012 09:44

yanbu, surely at that age he should be engaging in conversation, writing his letter to santa and applying for MENSA...

Grin ... he is 3 months old for gods sakes, ... thick???? wtf...

Hmm What an odd thing to say about your 14 week old baby. Did you think he'd have an identical personality to your first Ds?
Fakebook · 17/12/2012 09:46

He's obviously taken after you then. Hmm.

SolomanDaisy · 17/12/2012 09:47

Have you thought about having his IQ tested privately? I think he's probably bored and underperforming because he his IQ is so high.

ChristmasKnackers · 17/12/2012 09:47

Omg it was a light hearted way of phrasing 'he does nothing' which is why I posted it here.. Sorry, the lack of smiley face must have made it unclear.

This is not the forum I thought it was, sorry.

wewereherefirst · 17/12/2012 09:48

How can a 14 week old 'be into everything'.

Jesus wept, standards are obviously slipping but if they will be like you op with this ridiculous thread poor child has no hope.

KellyEllyChristmasBelly · 17/12/2012 09:49

This is not the forum I thought it was, sorry I take it you are new Xmas Grin

ChristmasKnackers · 17/12/2012 09:50

Yes, most of the posts I read on this bit seem tongue in cheek.

Obviously not.

OP posts:
BluelightsAndSirens · 17/12/2012 09:52

Maybe you could engage with him instead of slagging him off on the Internet?

FierySmaug · 17/12/2012 09:53

Oh. Sorry, I actually thought you were serious! I haven't been on mn for long, and I've seen some very odd posts that have turned out to be serious. I'm often in a state of Hmm while mumsnetting Smile

ChristmasKnackers · 17/12/2012 09:54

My fault, it sounded funny... Just wanted to try MN... Didn't really enjoy it!

OP posts:
BluelightsAndSirens · 17/12/2012 09:54

Oops I've just noticed you have posted in AIBU.

Play nice people, she is new!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 17/12/2012 09:58

I took it how it was meant! I also thought it was funny, so presumably I should be stripped, tied on a goat facing the wrong way and sent off into exile.

Don't worry OP, at that age my DS hadn't even got to the little bee stage. He just slept and cried when anyone unfamiliar looked at him. I predict great things for your DS Xmas Grin

ThedementedPenguin · 17/12/2012 09:58

Usually nothing in this area of mn is tongue in cheek. If try chat for that.

You've posted in AIBU, and you will get everyone's honest opinions now. I'd ask for it to be deleted or moved out of this area.

Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin maybe he is just being lazy ?????

Maybe he knows that the moment he lets the Baby Mafia mask slip you will expecting him to pull his weight and scrub the kitchen floor and clean the chimblies . Xmas Grin
Sneaky little beasts babies are !! Just laying around and smiling to people !!

ChristmasKnackers · 17/12/2012 10:05

Xmas Smile thanks for the nicer words guys. This is all new and a bit intimidating. I need to remember that you don't know me and it gets taken on face value!

Tanks for going easy on me! I am not scarred for life now!

OP posts:
TennisFan42 · 17/12/2012 10:11

What a lazy baby! I think you are going to have to take him in hand and start a more structured approach with flashcards etc. 15 ins of hard work before he can have a feed. (better put in a smiley before people think i'm serious!) Xmas Grin

PS was going to start a "joke" thread this morning in AIBU about being jealous of my 7 week old baby because she eats and sleeps when she likes. Glad I didn't now!

PoppyPrincess · 17/12/2012 10:19

My baby is 14 weeks old and she just stares at her kuala on her bouncy chair all day, sometimes gives it a whack, a smile and then goes to sleep. Is she thick too?

I do also think that my DS was more interested in things but that might just be a distorted memory but I haven't once thought that dd is thick! I've just put it down to her being a more chilled out baby!

I really hope that you're a troll

LedaOfSparta · 17/12/2012 10:23

Sounds like a genius to me. All DD (14 weeks) does is work on several enormous poos to leak through her nappy and everything else she's wearing. Grin
