To think my DS2 is a bit thick

He is 14 weeks old and only sleeps or likes to look at his little bee. He is not interested in anything and cries if there are lots of people around!

DS1 was so inquisitive, he would never sleep if people wer around and would be into everything?!

Thick does read quite hard. A bit of a doughball? A numptie?

Anyway, yes you need to ramp up the baby Einstein, get him a leappad and do not let him get lazy!

OP, I think I know what yu mean, but it was perhaps badly phrased. My DS, when he was in hospital as a newborn, was lying in his cot catching the eyes of the midwives as they walked past. He was constantly alert and watching people. It sounds like your DS1 was similar to that.

Every child is unique - your DS2 doesn't sound like he has that alertness yet, maybe he just likes his milk and sleep more at this stage? When was his brother born? Could it be because Ds2's an autumn / winter baby and just focusing on getting reserves of milk into his belly? Also, has he got big brother showing him stuff, so entertainment comes to him rather than him having to look around for it?

My DS is an only, so we could just be describing a 1st born / younger sibling thing.

fire you might have a point about having older DS providing the entertainment. My DS is all over my baby and tbh he probably tires her out. I'm sure she sometimes pretends to be asleep so he doesn't pester her ''oh quick the boy is coming! Quick i best pretend to be asleep!''
