YANBU.
I started a thread about this on telly addicts. She would be entitled to Tax credits, income support, child benefit and possibly housing benefit ( if absent Janine or Michael Moon could give her a proper contract.)
before she went to prison she could only afford to give her kids one fishfinger each at tea time, yet that is so Dickensian when we have a robust welfare state.
It really pisses me off when the writers whitewash out a crucial and well known part of British life i.e that we have a welfare state. Another poster also mentioned that Heather had to hold down three jobs just to pay the rent despite being a single parent and being entitled to childcare, WTC, housing benefit, council tax benefit and income support if she didn't or couldn't work.
Also, Max is Lauren's Dad, Tanya was childless before she met him. Lauren being Derek's was mooted as a storyline but I don't know if they're going to do it. or not.
And yes Jacqueline Jossa who plays Lauren is stunningly beautiful!
I know WAY too much about EE.
