...to get really annoyed with OP's who don't come back to/update their threads?!

...just that really. Here we are giving our time and effort and so many op's never bother to update their situation! So annoying. Why should we bother if they can't be bothered?!

There could be all sorts of reasons why the OP doesn't come back. If you are that bothered, send a PM. It's frustrating, but you can't assume the OP can't be bothered - it's probably far from it, just RL taking over. Move on.

jjuice · 12/12/2012 21:29

omg I think the Zeebrugge thread was the first I ever read on MN I totally believed...even cried.

I want to know what happened to the pregnant lady who thought her neighbour was spying on her through the bathroom.

lollilou · 12/12/2012 21:30

The one that still sticks in my mind was the Mum who thought her dd was pregnant, but the daughter lived in a flat with housemate who had friends round that scared the daughter and she didn't want to come out of her room or something like that. That thread went on for ages but someone said the op was a troll if it wasn't I would have liked to have had an update on that one.

GW297 · 12/12/2012 21:39

I find this really annoying too!

EverythingsDozy · 12/12/2012 22:29

Anyone noticed how the OP hasn't replied??

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 12/12/2012 22:33

pot, kettle black op?

oh and yanbu...

squoosh · 12/12/2012 23:00

BLANCHE!

gallicgirl · 12/12/2012 23:07

*Was the Zeebruge lady a troll? I was made up for her happy ending but I often wondered if the aunt and uncle were charged with anything.

What was the happy ending, i missed that. *

She managed to get the aunt out of the house and she moved in, also she then had sufficient money to retrain and leave a rubbish job.

Seriously??? She was a troll?
I did think the circumstances were bizarre but honestly, why would people make stuff up like that?

cheekybaubles · 12/12/2012 23:08

Just so you know, I am not cheekypickle with a new Christmas name. Just wanted to clear that up.
Now, what were we saying?....

Pantofino · 12/12/2012 23:10

No - Zeebrugge was a troll.

LadyBeagleBaublesandBells · 12/12/2012 23:11

The op of the 'taking a baby to a Christmas night out' updated after 1000 posts, and got told off with remarks like 'not this again'.
So you can't win on here.

bradywasmyfavouritewiseman · 12/12/2012 23:11

cheekybaubles I believe you. Xmas Grin

what about the one where the sister was moving in her own flat but was you going to pretend she had always lives at her mums house so she could claim the house as inheritance.

cumfy · 12/12/2012 23:12

Please do update us OP.Xmas Smile

bradywasmyfavouritewiseman · 12/12/2012 23:14

Op? OOOOPPPPPPPEEEEEE?

cheekybaubles · 12/12/2012 23:22

Really I'm not, I was cheekybarsteward/monkey/somethingorother. Never pickle related :)
Think I might be cheekyparanoid next Hmm

LightHousekeeping · 12/12/2012 23:28

The one that always sticks in my mind is the poor woman in South Africa who's husband was a big shot lawyer and he never gave her any money. She had to clean the house within an inch of its life, she couldnt go out, he never got involved with the dc and dictated how she dressed etc Sad

Or, last Christmas. The one I always read in the voice of Gloria from Modern Family. The woman who bought all extended family designer Christmas presents and only got stuff from the pound shop back.

The lady who was away on business and took a pregnancy test in the hotel loo whilst she was chatting on here. She had only been with her bloke a couple of months. I never heard the outcome of that one.

There's been loads really. What was the outcome of the mum who's daughter lived with horrible housemates and was denying she was pregnant?

BluelightsAndSirens · 12/12/2012 23:35

I would like the poster who wanted to know if she needed a doctors note to justify her 5 year old having a day off school due to ear infections/colds reoccurring every 10 days because she didn't believe in giving her DD antibiotics to give an update.

I know she won't because we were all Shock on her thread but it would be nice to hear she had taken our opinions into consideration and taken her DD to the GP.

BOFingSanta · 12/12/2012 23:38

Lighthouse keeping, I think that all of those were trolls Xmas Sad

BluelightsAndSirens · 12/12/2012 23:38

I've bumped the thread I'm talking about, it may make me look nosey but I'm genuinely interested to know that the DD is ok.

stifnstav · 12/12/2012 23:46

,Yes, bloomin baby Blanche! That poster was called Jamiesmum, she never came back.

And the woman whose DP's ex said she had cancer was LuminousLaces. I'm off to do some searching!

roastednut · 12/12/2012 23:46

What about the woman whose dh had a lock on a room in their house and she wasnt allowed access even tho it was her home too? Did we ever find out more, she confront him?

gimmecakeandcandy · 12/12/2012 23:52

Calm down havingastress! Hopefully you have managed to grow a bit of backbone with regards to your situation...

Wedding dress lady - yes, what DID you have for brekkie?

OP posts:
FreudiansSlipper · 12/12/2012 23:54

Some have come on here and namechangd they maybe asking the same questions over and over again because they are in a difficult situation and there are always a few who have nothing more to say than I would not put up with that realising the op has been on before they start getting another bully just what they need

if you are bored giving advice do not give it others always will

gimmecakeandcandy · 12/12/2012 23:54

Ha ha I'm back and reading - my update is that I still think people should update more. But hey whatever!
