Sorry, thread hijack, wanted to try the
Scottish emoticons but didn't work....,

Roads are sheets of ice here.

PeshwariNaan · 01/12/2012 12:21

I'm with you OP. Snow sucks. It took about two gigantic three-week, six-foot-drift snowstorms in NYC to cure me of feeling snow was "magical." I hate snow.

Mrsjay · 01/12/2012 12:26

was sleety here last night but no snow is frosty though . a fb has posted pictures of snow she got in the car and took her kids to it silly moo

Dawndonna · 01/12/2012 12:52

I love snow.
We have discovered that dragging, rather than pushing dds wheelchair is easier, if that's any help. Mind, am seriously looking at those blades, they look brilliant!

Glitterknickaz · 01/12/2012 12:57

Ooh gimme gimme....
I am incredibly lucky that DS2 and DD can sit up so I chuck 'em on a sledge in snow and leave the wheelchairs at home!

differentnameforthis · 02/12/2012 00:39

I'm in Australia, I'll swap! Mostly you just get various different temps of hot here Angry

BabylonElf · 02/12/2012 00:43

I'm up for a house swap for four months Grin

Where do I sign?

MrsAceRimmer · 02/12/2012 10:04

Snow in NE Scotland - looks like about 6in Hmm
Supposed to be going Xmas shopping today, but our car is shit in the snow. Bloody stuff.
A couple of years ago, we had deep snow from October to March. I was pregnant with DD at the time, had SPD and housebound for most of it.

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 02/12/2012 10:22

I'm in Fife and this is the 2nd day of really icy roads/pavements. I would rather have proper snow than this dangerous stuff.

Mainly because I panic about going out and then realise that's because I'm getting old and I'm scared of falling and breaking something!

Mrsjay · 02/12/2012 11:38

I havnt been out yet but looks slippy Sad I hate the slippy Hate winter with a passion

TheHappyCamper · 02/12/2012 13:07

Sheets of ice here in North Yorkshire. Have had lots of fun in the park this morning then went for hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows yum! I love this cold sunny weather - it's rain and wind I hate.

It can't snow though as I'm taking a bus full of teenagers on a school trip skiing/snowboarding on Weds at one of those indoor places - we might not get there!

I'd love to live in Canada you know Smile

Mrsjay · 02/12/2012 13:09

I always find people who want snow get it rarely when we all got it the other year folk loved it for all of 5 minutes then they were going stir crazy and emptying the shelves int he supermarket snow is so over rated imo .

froggies · 02/12/2012 13:15

I have a good covering of snow (East Sutherland). I live near the top of a bloody big hill, the plough/gritter hasn't been up since Friday morning. We have done the sledging and snowballs, DD1 lasted 15mins before she was wailing to go in because she was cold. Now stuck in with 3 DC's and the central heating isn't working. Hope it clears by Tuesday so the heating engineer can get up the hill!

YADNBU.
