I hate living in Scotland. That is all.

Yabu, I want it Envy

RudolphTheRedNosedTapir · 01/12/2012 02:03

I'm over in Fife - it rained for 3 hrs, then snowed for a couple of hours, just enough to stick and now it's -2c and treacherously icy underfoot.

The snow can just keep away!

ScumbagCollegeDropout · 01/12/2012 02:17

YABU. I miss snow. Luffly stuff it is. Magical even.

Do you think it would survive the plane ride to Australia?

MerryChristMoose · 01/12/2012 03:14

Like FlamingNora we've had lots of snow for weeks and it will be here until March or even April. It was -22 today and will get colder as winter truly sets in. It usually drops to -35. Windchill can push that to -50.

It's very dry here and not damp, so you can walk around at -3 without a jacket on. Some would still wear shorts.

I'm in Northern Canada, on the same latitude as Newcastle. Shows you how the Gulf Stream benefits the UK

McChristmasPants2012 · 01/12/2012 03:20

yanbu, keep it way up north. I hate snow bah humbug

Whatevertheweather · 01/12/2012 03:24

Envy that is all just Envy

lazydog · 01/12/2012 03:49

MerryChristmasMoose -3C and no jacket? Pah! Lightweights Grin If it's a still and sunny day and I'm having to shovel snow or do any other outdoor chores, I'm regularly to be found working outside in my jeans and t-shirt at -10C and below. The thermometer in the shade can be saying the air temp is way colder than that, while the thermometer that's in the sun is registering well above zero. I love it! But while I love the snow and wintertime in Canada, I can sympathise with the OP as I don't have manoeuvring a wheelchair to worry about.

CheerfulYank · 01/12/2012 03:55

You can look at the pic on my profile of my DS with my Dad to see how much snow we usually have...no sympathy! :o

The wheelchair would be hard though, for sure!

CheerfulYank · 01/12/2012 03:56

And that is actually what we call "a light dusting." :)

Mosman · 01/12/2012 03:59

37 degree's here today Grin

curiousuze · 01/12/2012 07:35

I hear ya OP - used to live in NE Scotland, now I live in the south of England and never get snow, it's great! We barely get weather, never mind snow. Bliss.

BitOfACyclePath · 01/12/2012 07:37

We've woken up to a sheet of ice this morning [bangry] just noticed the Scottish smileys [bgrin]

Woken up to snow this morning-North Germany here.

Hopefully will be gone by Monday so that everyone can get out of my hair as usual to work/school safely.

EmpireBiscuit · 01/12/2012 08:38

No snow in Stirling, just ice. I think it's in Fife and the Borders.

RooneyMara · 01/12/2012 08:44

NOT FAIR [bgrin]

Btw OP I noticed your name yesterday and think it is brilliant.

Woodlands · 01/12/2012 08:45

Huh, I'm in Holland and it's raining. Snow would be much better!

Shesparkles · 01/12/2012 08:49

I'm in Scotland too, we don't have any yet, but I'd like it to stay the fuck away please!
For a country which gets snow fairly routinely we're piss poorly organised for it and always get taken baby surprise by it, with the country grinding to a standstill, and schools etc being closed for days on end-bloody ridiculous Grin

InNeedOfBrandy · 01/12/2012 08:51

I want snow! Today its sunny and frosty which I love, but I still want sno.

BitOfACyclePath · 01/12/2012 08:56

When I lived in Scotland it was the first time I had ice on the inside of my windows

medi88 · 01/12/2012 09:02

OP, I spent three winters in NE Scotland & I am so thankful to live in the south where I hope never to see snow again!

BitOfACyclePath · 01/12/2012 09:07
