To think there is no logical explanation for DP wearing kids underwear?

I noticed a pair of boxer shorts on my bedroom floor, picked them up, looked at the label (as I didn't recognise them!) and it said "age 13/14". So I assumed they must belong to DS (who is 13). But then, tucked into a pile of my boyfriend's clothes (he stayed here last night) I saw another pair of boxer shorts, same make and obviously from the same pack - aged 13/14.

What madness is this? why would a grown man wear/buy kids boxers?? He's skinny but 6ft tall. He's actually wearing the same size boxers as my son!!

We don't live together so this is the first time I've noticed this. No explanation really is there?? why would he have bought them? its not as if there is a shortage of mens boxers around! makes no sense!

Peadophile. Deffo. Sadface.

But if he was a paedophile, and the OP assumes he has nicked the knicks from a victim, then he wouldn't have two pairs the same out of he same pack, would he? I think it's obvious that he has chosen to buy them.

Since a 13-14 label on his undercrackers isn't going to help him to impersonate a teenager online to entice other teens to tell him all about their sexual exploits, I don't see why there would be any advantage beyond the obvious size/cost ones.

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 24/11/2012 18:29

I buy age 13/14 - 14/15 underwear quite a lot.

It's cheaper and they are normally comfier.

ItsALongWayToPickAWilly · 24/11/2012 18:33

My ex still had the same pair of boxers he wore from when he was a teen. Did they look old?
Mind you, ex always stole my jeans, begged to try on any new dresses I got "for a laugh" and regularly let me give him makeovers...

WorraLiberty · 24/11/2012 18:36

Here's a novel idea

Why don't you ask him?

GrumpyCynicalBastard · 24/11/2012 18:42

worra - because to ask him he'd have to be real wouldn't he? You can't just question a made up person about a made up scenario!!

CrazyChristmasLady · 24/11/2012 19:46

"Because it's very hard to buy Bob the Builder pants in an adult size"

Grin this really made me laugh.

Fairylea · 24/11/2012 19:48

My dh wears size 8 primark women's skinny jeans as men's skinny jeans arent tight enough for his grunge / punk look :)

Just ask :)

FryOneFatManic · 24/11/2012 19:56

I buy DP the teenage boys socks in peacocks (size 6 to 8, i think) because he has small feet (size 7/8 depending on brand) and most mens socks are sized to fit 7 to 11 and DP hates this as he reckons they are always too big and stretchy. And of course, they are cheaper.

cantspel · 24/11/2012 20:03

If you have found his underwear on your bedroom floor and he stayed over at your then i presume you had sex. Did his willy and bum look like they would fit in the pants you found? If the answer is yes then he is just buying what fits him.

If not and you have a teen daughter ask her who's pants they are.

Oh god I don't think I could cope with my husband wearing smaller jeans than me!

DP still has a few pairs of age 15-16 boxers, he's 23 :o

IneedAsockamnesty · 24/11/2012 20:09

The average shop size for a 13-14 year old boy is exactly the same as mans size small but kids stuff has zero vat.

So are loads cheaper, makes sense to me

dearprudence · 24/11/2012 20:14

Words fail me, so I'll stick with letters. YABU.

oldraver · 24/11/2012 20:19

My OH buys womens size socks as he is a narrow size 6 and the womens range is a better fit for him. He has also had socks from M+S kids range as he liked the days of the week plus the sizing was better for his feet. DS deiced he wanted th same socks and it is confusing sometime

LOL My oldest son at 21 was so skinny in the hips that the mens small boxer briefs were too baggy, so he would end up with the biggest of the kids sizes and they fit him perfectly. It was a family joke around here.
I then found some on clearance at the Jockey store and grabbed them not realizing they had little fooballs all over. So I told him, make sure not to wear those on a date, they became his back ups when he did his washing. Grin

thenightsky · 24/11/2012 20:25

DS is 21 and wears BHS or M&S kids undercrackers coz he has slim 28in hips.

AlwaysHoldingOnToStarbug · 24/11/2012 20:28

Ds1 is 13 and can fit into men's size xs, so i guess it works the other way! And cheaper too. I buy kids socks because they are cheaper, and shoes too if I can.

IneedAsockamnesty · 24/11/2012 20:30

No I've Sussed it.

The last person I had sex with had no clean pants the next day he's about the same build as one of my kids. I had a spare pack that was spare because the dc in question was not impressed with the design so refused to wear them so I chucked the pack ( in a none violent way) at the chap in question and said if they fitted he could have them.

Because of this I deduce you must be sleeping with my ex who has obviously not yet brought any pants.

Please don't send him back ever and he's more than welcome to keep the pants

Cortana · 24/11/2012 20:30

"Oh god I don't think I could cope with my husband wearing smaller jeans than me!"

Welcome to my world mrskeithrichards. DP is very trim, think David Tennent build. His waist is three inches smaller than mine. Good job I really love him, otherwise I'd have to hurt him.
