Am I the only person that thinks sending children to school in their nightwear is a bit inappropriate?

Although having worked with young sex offenders am I being over sensitive?

Mine wore her pjs with pants, a vest, and tights underneath to keep warm - so surely no different from wearing a top and trousers?

Mine all have onsies, the eldest is 10. We are classy so ours are from Primark Grin

I have also threatened dh with a tiger onsie for Christmas.

Onsie? Onesies Grin

There was a young lad on the bus in his pyjamas and dressing gown this morning. Grin Also saw someone dressed like a giraffe on my walk to the office. Made my usually dull morning commute much more interesting!

DD is at nursery today in her pyjamas and dressing gown. She has a vest and socks underneath, so it's not much different to the top and leggings she usually wears.

DD also wore pjs to school (well, nursery attached to school - she's 3) today, with vest, knickers and tights on.
She was much mystified by it all.
Normally it is a battle to get her out of her pjs. So when I announced she was wearing them to school she stared at me as though I'd lost my mind and said very slowly and clearly "No, I have special clothes that I have to wear to school."
(That was a few days ago so she had time to get used to the idea!). Then today I made her take off the pjs she was wearing to put underwear on "Um, excuse me mummy, I don't wear my tights under pyjamas."
And as to why it's happening at all:
Me: We will pay some money so you can wear your favourite pjs to school and show everyone, and then the money will go and help children who feel poorly.
DD: If I wear my pjs at school the poorly children will get better?????

I'm fairly sure she thinks I've lost it. Next issue is going to be convincing her next week that pjs at school are not a daily event, even if we pay money each time....

Although DD2 and I have had words about night clothes meaning her winter PJs not her pretty fairy night shirt.

Cue tantrum as Pjs were pretty unisex cartoon ones and she wanted to look girly and pretty.

I think in the end I may have got her to stand on the door step in the frostGrin

I didn't stop her from wearing her pj's to school btw!
