To go to the cinema on my own?

I am in the need of some serious cheering up. I have just discovered at my local cinema, films start at 11ish. I have free time between then and school pick up one day next week.

I have ben going to the cinema by myself since I was 14 - i am 47 now.

Usually if there is an independent film or art house one on that I fancy I usually ask DH and put a group text out to mates and if no one takes me up on it I go off by myself.

OH I see that you are going to be eating popcorn! now YABU!!

I can not abide cinema munchers!!! unless you are going to the Vue or similar and watching a general release film

LOVE IT. And if you go on Thurs or Friday you might get a free biscuit & cuppa with the pensioners (Odeon) :-)

I am doing the Twilathon tomorrow and watching all five movies in a row..on my own.. At the cinema..Beat that!
