AIBU to be upset that the trailers for World War Z seem to have no resemblance to the book I read (and loved)?

Have been waiting ages for the film, am sorely disappointed now!

Why do they do it? :(

I always read books then hate the film adaptions,

sounds like it would be a good book, but not going to read it because then I'll hate the film!

Actually I keep forgetting that in the 28 days films they weren't zombies they were still alive but infected with a virus which I think is why they could still run fast!

catgirl1976 · 11/11/2012 18:07

Oh no :( I loved the
book

ooo! speaking of zombies... have you seen this? Looks very intriguing! and funny!!!

filetheflightoffancy · 11/11/2012 19:31

I started reading the book because lots of people on here were raving about it, but I just havent been able to get into it, I have found it quite dull and I had to keep re reading bits to get it (this definitely says more about me than about everyone else!)

However, from watching the trailer it looks like the film is going to have a totally different format and it looks a bit crap really - like one of those films that promises to be epic but actually is shit (like 2012). And the cgi zombies that seems to be travelling ridiculouly fast are just Grin

Did anyone see Walking Dead on Friday? It was brutal

gordyslovesheep · 11/11/2012 19:37

I didn't see that coming at ALL Catgirl :(

catgirl1976 · 11/11/2012 19:39

DH had tears in his eyes :) I was so shocked (by both the episode and DH being so moved!)

susiedaisy · 11/11/2012 19:47

There is a active walking dead thread in telly addictsSmile

katykuns · 11/11/2012 19:55

The walking dead was intense.... literally. I have never felt so sick and confused and upset over a tv show!

Btw, to people that read zombie fiction, I have been reading a really good blog that's written like a diary from day 1 of outbreak. It;s the best I have read tbh.

So tell me about this World War Z book then, I've never heard of it. Am I buying it?
