Today I saw the most heinous apostrophe crime ever.

There were more but my eye's couldn't take it so I had to leave.

We are an equal opportunities organisation when it comes to handing out apostrophes across the sexes. I've just had an email addressed to "Dear Sir's and Ma'ams".

At least they were consistent!

In the charity shop I worked in I used to go round and surreptitiously add/remove apostrophes....mens tie's, childrens' books etc etc

This reminds me of my own personal favourite from Eats, Shoots and Leaves where someone, upset at the change in demographic where they lived, graffitied a building with the words:

"Nigger's out"

On seeing this, someone else added later:

"but will return shortly"

'We don't change the spelling of the singular word'

Surely some words do.

Baby/ babies etc

Not an apostrophe error, but in Matalan there was a pair of children's PJ's hanging up emblazoned with the phrase...
"Britain's Most Laziest"

I didn't take a photo of it instore, but did save the photo from the website so that I can keep making an example of them when subjects like this come up.
