to be annoyed that it's so much easier for women with a skinny calf to get knee high boots than a woman with a fat calf. It pisses me off

I clearly hit the jackpot with my medium sized calves!

But I do have leg- related woe, my thighs are thin so skinny jeans look like sausage skins on my calves and baggy on thigh and arse. That's a sad story. Sad

i have failed to get boots from evans to fit! i am a 12-14 dress size and a size 5-6 shoe. My calves are the product of many many years of riding horses every day.

TantrumsandBananas i have some bike boots with an internal lace with an over panel which velcro on both sides.

i ride a triumph bonneville btw

I have big calves and have found no boots to fit this year :(

My sister always had the opposite problem with big gaps at the top. But the gaps came in handy on a night out - she used to stuff her purse in one and her cigarettes in the other and never had to take a bag with her!

Grin Charlie. I'd be happy getting a hanky down mine!

I think don't think skinny calves look nice on men or women, or skinny thighs either. Shapely legs for women and football legs for men.
I did have trouble finding three quarter length boots that weren't too tight, a few years ago, but as I've aged, the upper calf is the same measurement but the lower part seems to have disappeared and have no more trouble. But my lower legs from ankle upwards are far too long and shapeless now, so I am not pleased grrrrrrr. Rather have them as they were.
