In which, middle class India Knight called la Liz everything under the sun on her nasty twitter diatribe of nonsense.

Schadenfreude, I know.

*lazy not last

hackmum · 02/11/2012 09:34

I've seen far nastier threads on MN than this one. This one has the merit of being nasty in a funny way, rather than nasty in a nasty way, which I think makes it OK. (Yes, possibly I do have a warped sense of morality.)

Anyway, it's given us plenty of meat for the live webchat, e.g.

Is it true you turned both your husbands gay?
How does it feel to have got where you are by nepotism rather than talent?
Why is it more acceptable to be cruel about someone under your real name on Twitter than under a pseudonym on MN?

...and so on.

BupcakesAndCunting · 02/11/2012 09:37

What's wrong with being mean about someone in a lazy way? Peter Andre never seems to mind when we laugh about his Ready Brek glow.

SuePurblybilt · 02/11/2012 09:39

Peter Andre is still spelling out some of the big words, Bups.
He'll be fuming, give him time.

I don't get why being mean on Twatter under your real name is better than being mean under a MN name. Many of us would be in hot water at work (our mundane, non slebby jobs) if we posted under our real names, slebtypes could say rather the reverse. Not exactly a level playing field, that.

agreed re typical size, definitely, and having read that book myself i'd say some of the insights in IK's diary were of some value.

BUT. if you write a diet book, saying it's so easy and you can eat cream and meat and it's a life-long nutritional approach, then you do open yourself up for discussion when you then regain the weight. and as someone who makes a living both from a successful diet tome and from commenting on the behaviour of other people, i to think she has to take her turn now.

SuePurblybilt · 02/11/2012 09:45

Onoes Shock. So how CAN you bitch in your real name if you're blocked?
You should write to Jiz Loans

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 02/11/2012 09:47

what did you say, buppers?

motherinferior · 02/11/2012 09:48

Also, you are sort of ignoring the latest research which indicates that living on cream and meat long-term is really not very good for you and raises your risk of heart disease (who knew? Dur-urr). But ignore me. I am humble health hack who writes about this stuff for a living not best-selling diet guru (and not at all envious of those who get paid loads for airy drivel, oh no, obviously).

Is the Pippa Middleton book actually selling?"

with

"Plenty of shit books sell (and you should know)"

IK is raising an eyebrow at the Pippa Middleton book on twitter this morning. We need a emoticon.

carabos · 02/11/2012 09:50

India probably sees a lot of Pippa in herself... purveyor of shit books, the rampant nepotism, the being rich for doing fuck all, the lofty relatives, good looks...

Grin Mignonette

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 02/11/2012 09:59

gawsh re sniding Pippa Middleton. Shock that does seem rather artless.

mignonette · 02/11/2012 10:01

I actually love the Blackberry Butter idea in PM's book-worth the purchase price (although it's online so no need) and think that, at least, it is her family business to promote parties and occasions....

BupcakesAndCunting · 02/11/2012 10:07

I actually LIKE Pippa now that IK is having a pop at her. And I LIKE Jiz Loans, now that IK has had a pop at her.

This is fucking with my head. IK if you're reading this which you totes are please don't have a pop at Peter Andre...

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 02/11/2012 10:08

it's a book for the yanks, really, isn't it? if she's any good, pippa will move there and be a new, english martha stooart, and one with royal connections. basically what cherry menlove wanted to be.

SuePurblybilt · 02/11/2012 10:08

See I like her and I like her books. I think she does some funny bitching and is prolly a bit spiteful and likes shops. Much like me and all my fave people in fact.

But I think with the mental health/retarded thing she's straying into Wanker Gervais/Frankie Boyle territory and she should be big enough to acknowledge that she needs to take it if she dishes it out. And makes a tidy living from it.

Channel the white carbs, India, and Rise Above.

BupcakesAndCunting · 02/11/2012 10:10

Sue, I don't have a problem with the comedy bitching (as if I could) I just hate, hate, hate her stinking attitude wrt MH. It just marks her out as a bit of a div, really.
