to wear a killer cleavage blouse to a job interview

A white one at that - and it isn't even an interview for a waitress.

Thing is, i dont have any money to buy any new clothes (scoured charity shops today nothing suitable) So i have a white blouse that is quite fitted and there IS cleavage (im a big girl so its either cleavage or frumpy)

OR silver grey blouse with no cleavage but it doesn't really go with black suit?

Not 100% happy with ither really but the white looks better

The serious question is - will i look like a waitress??

errr, numbum - you don't have to read my "mundane" and "unbelievable" questions, if it bothers you that much.

The zombie plan went really well thanks for asking, i wasn't taken on as the job went internally but have been signed up as a supply lecturer based on that presentation, so not quite so unbelievable really Hmm

As for the doughnuts, of course i didn't take them - but actually, with hindsight, the guy doing the interview was barking mad (in a nice sort of way) and i think that he would have appreciated the gesture. SAying that the lady interviewer might have thouht i was mad, but she clearly thoght he was mad so im sure she would have laughed.

Sorry if my triviality bores you - yes, you are right, i need a job, which is why i have been posting about the trivial things, they make a difference.

Hope you get sorted soon, LEM. Good luck.

Bogeyface · 30/10/2012 23:41

You know whats really sad?

People who clearly have nothing better to do than take the time out to tell other Mners that they have posted something mundane!

If what Lucy posted is mundane, then a post criticising it is even more so!

Alisvolatpropiis · 30/10/2012 23:43

YABU - you won't look like a waitress, you'll look tarty and unprofessional. Buy a shirt from Asda/Primark.

numbum · 30/10/2012 23:45

Lol Bogeyface. The irony of your post is amusing

I actually find the 'should I do this in an Interview' questions quite comical but they are more chat than aibu

lucyellenmum · 30/10/2012 23:49

You know, its a bit tongue in cheek, my white blouse imo looked the nicest, but it showed some cleavage, not eye popping cleavage (which, believe me, i can do). But hey, if its too trivial for you, i am sorry - but more than half of the stuff posted on here is "trivial" and lighthearted, is it one of those threads i should have labelled as such?

OP posts:
numbum · 30/10/2012 23:53

Maybe...if you could label it as such for my benefit next time I'd be grateful because then I could reply in a humorous way instead of a snappy PMT type way

and I say that as a 34H bra wearer

lucyellenmum · 31/10/2012 00:01

hmmm, PMT, i'll forgive you - this time Wink

what would you have done with the do-nuts ?

thrown them at the interviewers ? Grin

mmmm do-nuts....

there are quite a few do-nuts on MN tonight, I am finding

lucyellenmum · 31/10/2012 00:17

doughnuts!!

I had asked the guy if he wanted me to take anything to the interview (i meant in terms of ID and proof of qualification) he said, oh noting, just ice cream for the girls, so i said, dont be mad, i'll bring doughnuts. So someone said to me i should actually take them.

Num it would only have been ironic if I had been bored by the OP's post, as you were. But I wasnt. So it wasnt.

Just saying.
