Current playlist is from an old carols CD from Coventry Cathedral choir, a compilation of pop singers' Christmas songs and Michael Buble's Christmas album from last year.

Never fails to put me in a good mood. Can almost smell the turkey, stuffing and yorkshires.

Fortunately the Hallowe'en stuff should soon be gone from the shops, and I can listen to Jingle Bells, Rudolph and Deck the Halls whenever I walk around a store.

Fantastic, the lot of it.

Christmas in our house is fun. No kids, so usually spend it with my parents.

My father was the youngest of six, so when he was about two his older brothers told him the untrue rumour that there was no Father Christmas, so he always wanted me to get really into the Christmas spirit.

I still get up and exclaim excitedly "Has he been?" at the ripe old age of 37.

Hmmm. Well, I want to say YABU, but I've decided to ask you the following, instead.

Are they your CDs/tapes/whatever? Are you entitled to have them in your possession?
Is the player yours or has the owner given you permission to use it?
Are you the electricity bill payer or has the bill-payer given you permission to use it?
Is the far too early music inaudible outside the property?

If you have answered yes to all those questions, I must reluctantly declare you reasonable.

But don't push it. Okay?

However YANBU on the Yorkshire pudding front. My dad would be traumatised if there were none for his Christmas dinner. What he would really like is a YP starter with gravy , like his mother used to do, but my mum won't let him.

Can safely answer a yes to all those questions.

I think about Christmas all year round - start talking about it to those who know me and how much I love Christmas round about July, then the Christmas prep in earnest begins in September / October.

With you on the listening to music any time. I watch a carol or song on youtube whenever I feel like it, all through the year.

Ooh I listen to my Christmas playlist on and off all year I have already planned all my Christmas menus and have been stocking up on food and sweeties for Christmas for a few weeks. We've started present shopping already and I'll be making tree decorations and homemade crackers over the next month. Love it!

Even if I lived in the UK I think I'd want yorkshires, but even more so now, as here in the land of rice and raw fish - and the countryside, not the big cities to boot - opportunites to eat the delicious delicacy that is the yorkshire are very few and far between.

Will have a slice or two of black pudding for breakfast too. In between presents!

Lots of decorations in the shops (and fantastic music too) and illuminations around, which apparently are taken down on the 24th!!! Kentucky Fried Chicken sell out, as many Japanese people don't have ovens, so they see chicken as the nearest thing.

Famously, a department store in posh Ginza nailed Santa Claus to a cross in its Christmas display.
