Current playlist is from an old carols CD from Coventry Cathedral choir, a compilation of pop singers' Christmas songs and Michael Buble's Christmas album from last year.

Never fails to put me in a good mood. Can almost smell the turkey, stuffing and yorkshires.

Fortunately the Hallowe'en stuff should soon be gone from the shops, and I can listen to Jingle Bells, Rudolph and Deck the Halls whenever I walk around a store.

Fantastic, the lot of it.

Who's with me?

I like to properly go through all the dark, spooky and/or remembrance of the dead days first. I think it's necessary to appreciate the contrast of Christmas, all the joy and light etc. Christmas can begin after Remembrance Sunday.

I think the 'rule' is that you don't play Christmas music before December. But it's up to you, of course, what you do in the privacy of your own home between consenting adults Grin

My DD is the accompanist for a local choir, so she is playing loads of Christmas music at the moment, because she's practising for concerts. It just feels wrong, I have to close my ears.

Even if you'd written this thread in May you would not be unreasonable!

And obviously yorkshires are a christmas dinner staple.
