Olivia, I don't know if you clicked on the links in my OP but I was linking to my own threads because I really needed some answers and support yesterday.

I know we're not supposed to do threads about threads, and I do understand why, but surely, there's some leeway for reasoning there? When it was obviously done as a joke and harmed absolutely no-one?

Maybe I'm having a sense of humour failure and it really is a joke. Because if it isn't, I'd like to point out that this thread and this one are also, by that definition, threads about threads.

OP I had a scan last week and I have a uterine polyp. What a bother, I really cant be arsed to deal with it.

Im supposed to call the doctor and get a gynae referal but I cannae be arsed.

Interesting that they mess with your hormones because I recently grew myself a little goatee . Its pluckes within an inch of its life but I knew something was amiss.

FWIW I recently had a few polyps on my cervix. Ive no idea what happened in the last year but they disappeared of their own accord.

I don't think so, though. I think it's been there for a while. I think I got caught in one of the health care policies here, where, if you've never had an abnormal smear and you're 40 and older, you can have smears once every two years instead of every year. Not being a fan of smear tests, I was delighted when I heard that. But I think I'll stick to once a year from now on.

The thing is, cervical polyps, from what I understand arent the ones that make you bleed. Its the uterine ones.

Sounds as though you and I are probably going to go through the same thing at the same time.

Im calling them on Tuesday. They did say I could speed things up by getting the sonographer to fax the results to the surgery. I said not to worry, liking the excuse to put it off. But I will if its still not through by tuesday.
